I'm not talking about forum admins, I'm talking about game developers. There is a rather huge difference.
And I'm saying your expectations are really, really out of whack.
But anton, this is WIS' fault. Their programmers basically have the customer service job for their games as well because they're too cheap to pay for proper CS people or what have you. WIS has created this culture; there's no go between...thus since seble is the main HD CS guy, he should be responding somewhat frequently, regardless of whether or not he's the programmer, because CS is in his job description. Whether seble likes it or not, he's the face of HD.
I don't dispute that. WIS should have someone as a go-between. WIS also created the current situation by apparently insisting that the game re-launch before the new engine was fully completed, which sort of explains why the beta testing was so half-assed -- seble didn't have time to monitor it.
I still say daalter's idea that having seble pop into the forums every couple of days is both unrealistic and, frankly, terrible. I guarantee it would lead to more ******** than the current situation. If someone like emy misses that five minute window... "Waaaah! Why isn't seble answering my question?
WHAT IS HE TRYING TO HIDE?????"
The fact that seble is "the face of HD" does not mean he can, or should, act like a forum mod. It's not feasible. He's got more important **** to do, especially right now.
