I had the opposite of this happen...went from 18-42 over the first 60 games to 57-37 over the next 94.  Makes you feel a lot better when it happens this way.

If it wasn't for a 2-22 run early in the season, my 4th place team would be challenging for a Wild Card!

I'd propose that a single season is a small sample size for a player.   That's why I don't get worked up when my Silver Slugger LF suddenly hits .258 with a .412 slugging in a season.  I don't like it but I understand that 1 hit every 5 games is the difference between .250 and .300.  I know, over the course of time, that he'll hit .300 on his career.

If you're willing to accept that, you should be willing to accept that 9-10 players on a team can have an "off" year at the same time.    While that's unlikely, it's also possible.

If you're willing to accept that, you have to accept that 1400 AB is a small sample size.

If you don't like the answers you're being given, you should tell us the answer so we can repeat it and make you happy.
Exactly... why I try for the most part try NOT focus on one player (yet I have mentioned my 1B here but yep they can off years...just like it's possible for a coin flip to come up 28 heads in 30 trys...stuff happens).. So yep complaining about a particular player...my bad

But more to the team as whole, maybe some manager type stuff I"M DOING WRONG!  Such as maybe I should more aggresive baserunning..if so is the team speed isn't good enough... Based on the stadium, should I look at ground ball pitchers...  With a team doing SO BADLY at home, when they are doing not bad on the road... I'd say it's something I'm not doing OR am doing that is the cause.  Trying figure WHAT I'm doing wrong...

I think you're over analysing.

No park has a significant enough impact to make a good team awful.

Good teams win games, no matter where they are played.
I'm going to stop sugar-coating.

Maybe your team sucks.

There.  I said it.

I'm going to quote you in your first post -

"I think this winning at home problem started at last season's A/S break.. again up until the A/S game, the home record was excellent (over .600)."

What did you do at the all-star break to make your team start sucking at home? I'm willing to bet the answer is "nothing."  Which would prove my point.

29th in runs scored
27th in ERA
League average in fielding
-12 in plus/minus plays
31st in SB

All in all, your team sucks.  Management style isn't going to fix it.  Fix your defense and the pitching will improve.   It won't be a top half staff but it can be better. They don't give up a lot of homers so a D not making a - play or error every game will help.   You don't hit a lot of homers or steal a lot of bases.  So the only way to fix that is to acquire new players.

Maybe the team does suck OR maybe the owner is screwing things up!!  There I said it

You could be right iain..maybe it's not the team but the owner...

The owner built a rather ineffective team.  As I said earlier, it's hard to tell how good a team is based on ratings without knowing where they fall in the context of the world.   Your team is horrible based on basic stats.  There doesn't appear to be much to work with.
