it's possible hannibal...but he's a former conference mate and i believe he's being honest, especially since when I asked what he had spent he did not even know that I had tried to recruit the guy (the player in question was local to my team last season, so i he knew i was aware of the player that way)

if #1 is what is going on, then it just reinforces how dumb customer service is since i told them explicitly that it was a transfer player and they would have been feeding me incorrect/non applicable information about jucos this whole time.

I think #1 is correct.

I had a similar experience at Florida trying to sign a transfer who signed with Minnesota.  I had A- prestige, they had a B+, I put in 30,000 from 250 miles, they put in 10,000 from 800 miles.

And I lost bad.

Reason was Minn had lost a battle for him 1 year earlier when he was in Iowa.....so I think maybe that effort was not reduced by 25% and I just got creamed.

Reinsel...in this instance though...even if he got full credit for last seasons efforts, I still surpassed what he put in, or was at least close enough to warrant his consideration...unless as was mentioned earlier the other coach was not being forthcoming about what they had spent...but given how many players were considering him this year, and the fact that he didn't even know I was interested in the player or had gone after the player, I have no reason to suspect he was anything other than honest.

Either way, at this point I would just like a plausible explanation from CS.  Good luck with that, I know.

David,

We don't track individual recruiting actions from previous seasons, just the total amount of credit for those actions. So there's no way to spell out exactly what he did previously, but to amass that much credit he must have done some significant recruiting.

This is absurd. You are basically telling me that the official WIS stance is that this opposing coach...who I shared a conference and mutual support for our programs with for 5 seasons... is lying to me about how much he spent, even though when he divulged this information he had NO IDEA I WAS EVEN RECRUITING THE PLAYER since I never showed up on his considering list? I'm sure he'll appreciate that.

WIS can bury their head in the sand on this if they want to but the reality is this game, while enjoyable, is full of glitches in all aspects and WIS should take responsibility when one affects the quality of gameplay and the experience of your participants....most of whom, like me, are repeat customers who have spent several hundred or even thousands of dollars on your website.

This is an embarrassment that WIS is not willing to look at their own game in the mirror and take responsibility when a mistake is made. Instead they have hidden behind an ignorance is bliss policy, not only on this issue but on many others, where you claim not to know what is really going on and blame your participants when there are discrepancies between what is published about how the game and it's components are supposed to work, and what actually transpires.

I have made a very clear and fair case supported by evidence and I am very disappointed in the lack of conviction of the WIS staff to not acknowledge the mistakes that were made on their end. Instead all I've gotten is "you're wrong and the other coach is lying."

Have a wonderful day.
