Richard Nelson, my only 800 rated div 3 player.  He was on really good teams his first two years so he didn't get many shots, but was studly the last couple of years.

My best player, undoubtedly, has to be Grady Boren:

Just anchored our run to our 1st NT Championship Game, and finished as the school's all-time leading scorer, 2nd minutes and 5th in 3pt fg%. 2-time Conference POY as well. Nice find from Alaska.

Andrew McNaney for me.  Wisconsin La Crosse (wooden), played seasons 47-51.

395 rated player when I recruited him... blew up to a around 770 when he graduated.
Played a key role (everything from PG to SF) in La Crosse's run to the championship game as a Sophomore.
#2 in career points (1507) and FT% (80.8%) at La Crosse.

Was a do-it all type of player.  I love those kind of guys.

Kevin Wylie, a DII pg with an 825 rating after his junior year. He's diverse enough that he can play any of the backcourt positions, but I typically use him in the SG/SF spots.

Given his underwhelming FT percentage, would it be worth it to set his fatigue at "getting tired" and just eat the reduction in FT% so he can get a few more minutes per game? Thanks.

Robert Sims

Signed him as a 489-overall low-end DI recruit with high potential all over the place.  He turned into the best DI player I've ever had in my short DI tenure thus far.  But I will never forgot how he rocketed towards 800 overall and ended up being my first draft pick and the leading scorer in Texas, San Antonio history.

Mo Ford - without question my best player ever.  Won conference awards every season, including POY as a senior.  But, even though he lead the nation in scoring his senior year, he didn't even get an honorable mention AA.  Guess my team sucked too bad for him to get any consideration.

Barry Gibson

1st Team All American twice, National Player of the Year once and the #1 overall draft pick ... from Morris Brown ... dang!

He made that Elite 8 run special in his sophomore year as he was tearing it up in that postseason in 29. Overall #1 draft pick, player of the year and frosh of the year within the conference.
