If you average 10-8 every day, that's a 90-win-per-team pace which is enough to get you into round 2. I was looking at the historical numbers, since 2009 (excluding 2103, which for some reason was an outlier).
The average final round 1 point totals of the 23rd/24th place owners since 2009, was 561, compared to 558 for the 25th/26th place owners. Of those 561 points, 46 were playoff bonus points (on an average of 3.5 playoff teams per owner). That leaves 515 regular season wins (for an average of 85.8 wins per team). The main difference between the 23rd/24th place owners and the 25th/26th place owners is the latter averaged only 39 bonus points (on 3 playoff teams).
So going 29-25 (i.e., 10-8, 9-9, 10-8) every three days gets you to an average of 87 wins per team. Just make sure you have 4 playoff teams in the mix.
So those with 23 wins in their first 42 games (i.e. 4 games over .500) are on pace.
