Sorry about that. It was the second game (12-0).
Thank God, I will get half my starters out of that one. I will not likely be going for a $90m team here, unless I pick a very expensive 25th man!

Looks like a fun theme.I'll give it a try.

big_dowg: A newcomer! Here are your six housewarming gifts:

1. Senators @ Philadelphia Athletics, August 6, 1930 - a lot of offense there!
2. Athletics @ Twins, August 14, 2010
3. Red Sox @ Tigers, August 1, 1910
4. White Sox @ Browns, September 5, 1913
5. OF-P Ed Daily 1885-91
6. Expos @ Phillies, June 15, 1986

Five box scores sometimes makes pitching tough, but you drew a couple of deadball games and old-time Ed Daily, so I think you'll manage to find enough good innings.

Somehow forgot the 6th page:

6) 1896 Brooklyn Bridegrooms Batting Page
So, when you get a roster, I need to verify it against the six pages you drew. Here is my tentative team. Please post under the same format, NOT HERE, but on a Theme Leagues page that I will create now:

finn2030: Last draw of the night! Here goes:

1. Cardinals @ Pirates, April 22, 1926
2. Yankees @ Orioles, September 14, 1997
3. 1991 AL Second Base [fielding] - here you have to take four players who appeared in at least one game at 2B in the AL that year - no twisting, so you probably want to look for a couple of guys who played other positions, too
4. Giants @ Pirates, July 17, 1966, second game of doubleheader
5. Rangers @ Indians, July 5, 1995
6. Reds @ Boston Braves, August 19, 1913, second game of doubleheader

George Suggs threw a one-hit shutout in that last game!

toddcommish: I haven't started counting yet, but we are not close to full. So here are six pages for you:

1. Indians @ White Sox, August 17, 1936
2. OF Mike Yastrzemski 2019
3. Athletics @ Orioles, September 5, 1981
4. 2013 NLCS Cardinals over Dodgers (4-2) - you can use any player who appeared in the series
5. Expos @ Diamondbacks, September 1, 1999
6. Red Sox @ Yankees, April 22, 1956 - Don Larsen started for NY, and homered, but didn't last 5 innings for the win

That's 15 owners signed up in the first day! Plenty of room for more, and we always need a couple of alternates as we often see that someone fails to enter their team.

Belsea: Happy holidays! And I'm honored you came back to check for this thread! Here are six pages for you:

1. * P Hilton Smith Hall of Fame [see below] https://www.baseball-reference.com/register/player.fcgi?id=smith-001hil
2. Reds @ Phillies, July 2, 1959, second game of doubleheader
3. Giants @ Cardinals, July 17, 1973
4. 1951 Washington Senators batting orders [any four players who started a game for the Senators, including starting pitchers]
5. * 1B Guy Sturdy 1927-28
6. Astros @ Rockies, May 31, 2012

So, you've been assigned two non-sim players; pick 200k players to fill both roster spots, and I will choose a 200k replacement for each.

Hilton Smith's replacement will be a pretty useful pitcher: I am looking at the list of eligible pitchers from AAA, and the closest I can find for outstanding walk-to-strikeout ratio and a good hitter is 1920 Walter Johnson. But there is the question of his teammates, since you can only have a max of three non-sim players. Solution: he did attend Prairie View A & M college at some point [or maybe just got an honorary degree], so you can take the three other MLB players who attended that school. It's not a bad list: https://www.baseball-reference.com/schools/index.cgi?key_school=c7f564e9
