50-54% efg is kinda average...but yea the ftas, boards and defense are still superior
Average in a single season, yes. This is five seasons. Only a handful of guys are gonna give you better fg%, and only one of those guys compares on the boards (and nowhere close to those minutes)
yea thats true...im still thinking single season draft in that regard

I think you should unblacklist those players right before the 22nd pick in the draft.

oh man you could really cherry pick some great 1-3 season high usg scorers to go with wilt...knowing you can rely on wilt to be the main scorer in those other 2-3 seasons
That’s assuming the guys you’re thinking of will still be around at pick 47/48 - we’ll see

Shaq was #1 on my board. Happy to get him at #4.

I'm REALLY curious to see what guys who never get drafted creep into the early rounds, and what 1st and 2nd round staples get passed because they only have one or two good seasons.

I figured some would see Durant as overdrafted; I almost went in multiple different directions (I'll explain why I didn't go in those directions once the other guys I considered come off the board) and recent history says I'm likely to screw up a Durant build. But to give the brief version of why I picked him: there are 46 player seasons with at least 2000 minutes, 50 defense, 27% usage, and 55% efg. 29 of those seasons, by my count, belong to guys who are blacklisted or were gone before my pick. Of the remaining 17 seasons, only one guy has more than two: Durant, who has six.

So - I felt like I couldn't pass up the opportunity for every one of my teams to have a 55%+ efg, tier 1 or 2 usage player. And beyond the consistent high usage, high efficiency, he also provides roughly consistent levels of rebounds, assists, and threes. So it gives me the comfort of having a pretty similar baseline across each of my five teams, and gives me the most flexibility of any of the other picks I could have gone with. As of now, I think the five seasons I'm most likely to use are 12-13, 13-14, 15-16, 17-18, and 18-19. Though 16-17 (the best per-minute season but only 2000 minutes) and 11-12 (slightly lower efficiency but over 3100 minutes) are possible depending on how things shake out. Nice to have seven credible options for five teams.
definitely don't see him as overdrafted. Anything between 3 & 15 made sense to me. I just wish those GS years had more minutes. 12-13 & 13-14 are absolutely top notch no matter!

I had a nightmare last night I got the #1 pick. I know really who dreams about WIS. Well that's my life, straight boredom with myself and my wife working from home the rest of year with 2 kids and 1 on the way. Anywho, I started thinking where do I not want to draft 3 players for a position and PG ended up tops on my list. Paul was the easy pick once I narrowed it down to the position.____ was on my brain at another position.

Yeah, I think all bets are off as to normal drafting patterns. I definitely have a plan, but by as early as round 3, I might be going a completely different way. We'll see what things look like in a few days!

Yeah, there are 2 guys I don't think I would draft period in the ODL who are probably in my top 15-20 in this league.

Yeah I think trying to place value based on the average draft position from ODL and 52M league will be a moot point by the 2nd round. The 5 seasons changes EVERYTHING.

as does no cap. There were guys I always considered overpriced for what they gave you that now look really, really good.

I have 2 as well. I wonder if they're the same. ;)
