My favorite personal Woodie Fryman memory is from October 1 1970. My cousin and I went to the last game at Connie Mack Stadium which if memory serves me correctly, the Phila won on a walk off hit by the rookie Oscar Gamble in the 10th over the Expos. Whilst the players were running for their lives, we were scavenging everything we could. I was 16 and invincible back then. Anyway, Fryman comes running past me being chased by a crowd and I just reached out and plucked his cap right off his head. Still have it somewhere is a trunk in the garage, kinda moth eaten but what the hell.
