Good morning, everyone. Great progress with the draft position draft.

I will be unavailable for about 6 hours starting now so I am making the executive decision to switch my 23rd pick with joerat1 for his 24th pick. That way I will not delay the start of the player draft

As soon as joerat1 makes his draft position selection, schwarze can kick off the player draft whenever he is ready.

I will update everything when I get back home.

Well, I was hoping someone else would ask this question . . .looks like I'm the only one who just doesn't understand something.

"This is a draft league where each owner will end up with a roster comprised of players with 9 different first letters of their last name. Once you pick a player (or players) you must use a different first letter of the last name every subsequent round."

So, I'm picking letters of my last name? No, that can't be right. Most of us don't have 9 different letters in our last name.
The Ruth example . . .R in the first round, then U in the second round. Well, that doesn't work, as he only has 4 letters.
Hmmm . . .I am really missing something obvious. Someone throw me a rope please.

Not "Your" last name.... the player's last name.

Example. If my first pick is Silver King, I can't pick Koufax, Kershaw or King Kelly even if available with my next turn, because I already used my "K".

You need to consider what letters you want to use with your 4th, 5th and 6th round picks (that's where you get to pick 4, 5, 4 players). If you use a first round pick on Greg Maddux, you lose M for the rest of the draft. There are many good "M" players.

dorkster, you are making it too complicated. Each round you must pick players with the same first letter of their last name and not a letter you have used previously.
If
round 1 you pick Babe Ruth, in round two you couldn't pick a player whose last name started with "R", but the other 25 letters are in play. If in round 2 you picked Simmons and Sisler, in round 3 you couldn't use "R" or "S", but any of the other 24 letters.
