Brohm did not save his job after all, one of the more surprising cuts made by the Packers on Saturday.
Also cut was 2009 fifth round draft choice Jamon Meredith, a good athlete who shows no interest in football. Another surprising cut was safety Anthony Smith, signed as a "street" free agent this winter. Smith had experience in the 3-4 from Pittsburgh but apparently his knowledge did not outweigh his physical shortcomings.
Undrafted rookies Tyrell Sutton (RB-Northwestern) and Cyrill Obiozor (LB) were also cut. Sutton may make it through waivers, Obiozor is likely to get picked up.
The Packers kept all three fullbacks for now but it's unlikely they will go into the season with all three.
