But see, I thought they were good. This is the kind of stuff we do and have a good time with. Albi didn't get upset - or at least he didn't say anything about it - and things were all honky dory.

Also notice how I didn't have to say, "I hate to admit it..." or something along those lines because someone I don't like said something I did. Yet when you decided to do likewise, you had to make a point out of it (and then attempt to copy it, just like you attempted to copy Ben's writing exploits here).

It's stuff like this, man, that I have the most issue with. You antagonize. I'm not saying that the fault is completely yours - if I and others just completely ignored you all of the time, then maybe you'd get bored of it, grow out of it, or even go away, but I have an issue letting stuff go myself sometimes, especially when **** strikes me as absurdly as many of your episodes do.

You mentioned a bet that Ben wouldn't finish in the bottom three. How bout a bet with me, but not about that. A bet that you can't go the rest of this season (which hasn't even started) without bring me up, directly or indirectly, in this forum or any of the league chats we're in together. If you do - and some people outside of our back & forth will be the judge, not me or you - then you buy me a team. LIkewise, I'll abide by the same and buy you a team if I bring you up. We can set it till the end of the season, playoffs, or just keep it going until one of us fails and brings the other up. I'd say the only rule is no baiting, because that would already be an indirect bring up of the other person. I'd also say it's okay to wish the other good luck unironically should we meet in the playoffs, but if that's too much for you, that's fine with me.

I don't like to gamble. At all. But maybe it's a way for us to have some peace, at least between us.

If you don't want to do it, no problem. As I said, I don't like to gamble. But if you do, we can set a time to start, since I know you're going to reply to some of the stuff I said in this post, and it wouldn't be fair to start with bait already set.

Maybe this works. Maybe it gets us to stop provoking each other. I doubt it gets you to stop provoking other people or being so extra sensitive that nobody can rib you despite you ribbing others, but maybe it'll put some things into perspective and you'll grow a little. I know it will be a challenge for me as well, and maybe I'll learn to let more things go.

Either way, good luck in the upcoming season.

I have a point system for all players by season. Players are given points for their advanced stats multiplied by the number of minutes that player is on the floor. You get points for different things, so players get points for having a high efg%, points for defense, points for rebs%, assists%, and so on. So in my system...
12-13 Lebron is worth 28,194 pts.
13-14 Lebron is worth 23,671 pts.
09-10 Lebron is worth 22,616 pts.
66-67 Wilt is worth 33,570 pts
08-09 Chris Paul is worth 23,676 pts
07-08 Chris Paul is worth 16,782 pts
etc, etc. for all 24,423 player seasons in the database.
In a way, my point system represents players relative value to each other based on the "considering everything" sum total of what they contribute in advanced stats. I compare guards with guards and big men with big men.

I sum the top 5 seasons of Lebron to get Lebron's total point value for this crazy league. Then I just take your rosters and add up all the points for the players you drafted. I drafted a total of 574,147 points. Kinoa drafted 510,894 points (which is pretty good considering he had the 20th draft spot) dBKC drafted 473,533 points. ben drafted 389,700 points. mikee drafted a total of 336,521, etc, etc. There is no way a team that drafted 350,000 points can beat a team that drafted 550,000 points consistently. This is a game of statistics after all and points are assigned by advanced statistics. But anyone can still stack a team with all their best players to win one league.

A players salary in WIS is based on a dollar value ascribed to each of the advanced stats summed up and then multiplied by minutes. Very similar to my point system, but I adjusted it to remove usage%. So for example, Dr J's MVP season was 80-81. His total points including usage% that season was 22,532. But if I adjust it to remove usage% his points only add up to 13,650. Shows you how much the SIM makes you pay for usage as part of how they calculate salary.

This sounds pretty similar to the model I built for scoring players prior to the S3 draft (different valuation system, but same general premise). I just didn't use it for rankings because I find that other people don't rate season selection the same way and I didn't want to drive myself insane. I look at salary with minutes and usage removed (I did a regression analysis on salary to help with this) but I do that more as a secondary evaluation and not the primary.

no offense taken on MY end by his 'jab' or by some back handed compliment....
He and I chat a good bit, and we are in tons of leagues together....
I'd like to be able to kick his virtual a$$ (WIS)...
but can't, and end up DREADING drawing him in my conference...

Robusk not including me in his top ten if ALSO fine by me...
I dont get butt hurt by not being thought of as a top flight owner....
HELL, Id like to be in the same conversation as Pex and dBKC -

Id LOVE to be loathed and hated and a franchise to be feared...
I do well enough in most leagues, Im almost NEVER BAD....

but sure, I can not argue with Robusk that I havent proved anything in Savage yet.
(and frankly, I might always be mediocre)

and to take it a step further, I realize Robusk isnt a cmcafeeky fan
(something about my not liking spike lee creating a dog whistle - lol).
and in my book, Robusk and all others are more that fine making negative appraisals of my picks and or drafts,
regardless of what may or maynot have transpired in the past....

I enjoy seeing other owners perspectives, and their thoughts of teams and players, etc.
I wont get my feelings hurt with any and all comments...
(and if its any consolation for robusk, I plan on watching and purchasing the spike Lee project on the Talking Heads...lol)

Fwiw, I do think your team is good. But like my own realization of my own performance headed into last season... have to prove it here first.
