I was the last person from my era to take a 1B, and my choice was between Votto and D.Lee. Ironically, I now have both players (Votto can now DH since Lee's defense is better). It's unlikely anybody on my left would take him (the guys with 2005 open already have both a 1B and DH), but I like the fit too much to risk it.
