Also, how can the deals be judged when Montador hasn't even been playing because of the flu lol

Notice that the FIRST SHOT after Thomas had to put on Manny's mask....back of the net.

ZERO coincidence I feel.

I will agree the game last night was good and could have gone either way. The offensive comeback on Sunday was good too, but Fernandez was too much of a liability.

The offensive slump is team wide, and they need to pull out as a team to fix it. The defense is jumping up into plays trying to jump start things, which is a good thing. Most of the shots against Columbus hit Mason right in the logo. It seems that the B's shooters are not getting the space to shoot that they were creating earlier in the season, a tremendous amount of stick blocks and redirections than I recall earlier in the season also. I have also noticed ALOT more fanning on passes and shots than was occuring early in the season. Everything just seems to be a bit out of sync on the team.

HA!! I was at the game, and I commented on that.

Yeah...I was IMing with a friend...as soon as Thomas came out with Manny's mask on, my comment was "Shutout disappears in 3...2....1......"

Right on cue....Columbus scores.

I was just hoping nothing would happen to Mason's mask.

You mean like perhaps Lucic taking a run at Mason behind the net? How that hit on Thomas was a non-call, I don't know.

The Bruins aren't winning because they have stopped skating.

Absolutely they have stopped skating....partly their own fault, partly through the actions of their opponents. Alot of uncalled stick fouls and interference in the slot now, defense standing them up at the blue line (some legal, some interference), and defending better against the dot-to-dot passing that was opening up the defenses much more in the early part of the season.

Ugh. That sucked.

I am not sure if a longer layoff between games is a help or a hinderance....and they have 5 day layoff next week.....maybe they forget it is a 60 minute game

Well, I'll be at the Garden tonight, where I will definitely see 1 Boston team lose, and hopefully 2 of them.

Division Champions....1 banner to add to in the rafters...let's hope that's not the only one.

They looked pretty good against the Devils.
3/23/2009 8:52 AM
Hopefully the long layoff doesn't ruin the momentum they might have gained from this win, but they got out shot 17-3 in the 3rd, not a great recipe on holding on to a lead.

Jersey was outplaying them in parts of the second too, but not getting alot of quality chances.
