Capital Athletic Conference: Year 12-pres Topic

Bordreau was definitely the right guy for PotY. And it is a little weird seeing all seniors on the first two teams. Usually there's an underclassman or two that step up and get in there. Not to say there's no great underclassmen in the conference. Just none that seemed to step up.

And I know I've been (jokingly) going on and on about the legend of Steven Redick and how he nearly led the Hood to a win over CUA despite three cracked vertebrae[sp?]. But I have to give love to Riley Washington for being my first ever 1st teamer on any team in any world.

I'm just glad Perryman and Boudreau are graduating... I think I'm still several seasons (or more!) away from being able to recruit players like that. I think those type of players are the reason Catholic and York dominate year in and year out.
On another note- it would be a nice addition to HD if they had freshman who could compete with the top juniors or seniors. You could have freshman who are stars but show little or no improvement. The idea that EVERY player improves year over year is imo the biggest fallacy of HD and the current work ethic settings don't really account for players like a steven francis (sorry for the UMD reference). It's more like each player is a Tim Duncan and shows steady improvement each year.

Steve Francis is a no good bum. Thank god he early to make room for Juan Dixon.

McCabe, I don't think you have much to complain about. Your team will be dominant next year...
7/15/2007 9:26 PM
Thanks Rogue- it was really just an observation rogue- not a complaint. I'm looking forward to one day being able to recruit and land a truly dominant player.... you know the 90+ rebounder and 90+ lp. I'm not to that level yet though- and I think that's the way it should be. You have to work your way up.

What's the status of this conference?
7/19/2007 9:47 PM
Finished 8 in rpi; 2 openings so far- Gallaudet and Baptist Bible- both are in pretty poor shape aka: in desparate need of some human attention. We'd love to have you back.

I haven't looked too deep into it, but I could easily see at least 3 from the CAC going dancing.

Yeah, I coulda said this in the coach's corner, but I felt like bumping the thread

The formula has no logic preventing two teams from going 16-0... It'd be pretty hard to pull off. Maybe I should switch to a Monte Carlo simulation to get that level of intricacy.
7/28/2007 10:33 PM
What do you mean two teams can't go 16-0. I'm sure there's a way to fix that
7/29/2007 12:42 AM
thanks andrew. i hope you are right and we can get above .500 in league play...
