With what's at stake, i think we can count on LE going slowdown...I mean, who wouldnt want this on their mantle?

Strangley enough, LE's absence from the finals may cost me in the total points. I was counting on 2 pressing teams to run up the score and get about 80+ points per team.
Now we've got polo's pure man NYU squad that has run slow down both games vs Washington to keep the game w/n reason. Gotta imagine he employs the same strategy as both games were pretty close. Here's to a 5 OT classic thriller. Both teams are in anyways, so I don't care who wins, just that they light up the scoreboard :)
good luck in the finals gentlemen, may 4 of us go on a 4 game winning streak and settle this thing in the tournament.

i'm playing the game, and i'm more interested in the over under.

Well, 3 Upstate teams in the elite 8, 1 more in the PI final four...I'd say the conference is "representing well".

If you are redshirting, I like Arrington...if not, it is tough, but I think I still like him

I wish I would have seen this prior to looking at my sitemail. Much easier to format. My thoughts are in there, but now that I can link thru your name and see what you have returning next season, here are some additional thoughts:
I would definently go for a redshirt for any of these kids, however you have a potential hole at backup SG, so you could play one of them this season. However, it also appears that you could cover that hole by sliding a SF over to backup SG at times, a PG to backup PG & SG at times, and a PF to backup SF when the SF slides to backup SG. Therefor, I'd be attempting to redshirt your recruit this season for sure.
It looks like you could move up to D1 if you wanted after this season, but for the next coach, should it not be you, NCC is going to need both a starting PG & a backup SG next season. You lose both PGs on your roster plus some solid post players. Knowing what I know now, I'd lean towards Jaggers as he could play either the PG or SG role depending on how you develop him. It will give you an extra option next season when you see what recruits you get once recruiting rolls over.
Also, I didn't notice in that siteamail that the first 2 were sophs. That changes things a bit in terms of long term development, but I think I still stand by my intial thoughts anyways.

Great stuff thanks so much Taz and appreciate Goody and Polo comments as well.
Arrington already considering us but think I will make the play for MJ- unless one of the two d1 guys Im still hoping drops, drop.
No one liks LV but with a redshirt (hes the only definite taker of one) and four years (as the only fresh)- and key ratings already high I think that trumps the low WE - he remains intriguing for me - for I'll need a good guard next season (I could always get transfers to start as nesc).

Name Rank

Gerald Arrington PG 135

Mark Jaggers PG 160

Leo Viens PG 199

I missed that the 1st two were sophs as well, makes it interesting. If veins would accept a RS, I think I would have to lean that way, though I dont like that he cant shoot FT's. Man, 6 of 1, half dozen of the other.

Yup, thanks...Im going with the Polo/Taz pick of Jaggers. Had Arrington in the bag and was high on hiom due the to WE but needed a good guard next season think Jaggers may be way to go. Agree on Viens - hed be best red shirt chance and with passing and bh could step right into point. tough call, dont want to blow it as have a+ prestige and should get the best, period. Was hoping for a two star drop and may miss one but taking Jaggers now.

Did fine with Jaggers but for d2 best to wait to very last day to start recruiting in Tark...
Now, back to our scheduled league program.

found this thread lying around.

someone asked for preseason predictions. here's mine..

North

Hamilton
Clarkson
Skidmore
Hobart
RP
St Lawrence

Hamilton and Clarkson will battle down the stretch for the Northern crown and i gotta pick hamilton to take the title in what should be breakout season for the team.

in the south. it will get disgustingly competitive. Case Western figures to be the heavy favorite but i'm going to have to pick Washington to come out on top. we might even have one of our patented 3-way ties for first.

South

Washington
Case Western
Brandeis
Chicago
NYU
Rochester

No way you are putting that on me. I think NYU will run away with it. No contest.
