"When I joined this "game", I thought it was kind of corny but it's turned out to be a lot of fun. It's probably a ***** to host this what with all the challenges you need to make up, keeping track of people, etc. Thumbs up for doing it."
I thought the same thing looking in at it before I had played. I still to this day have to catch myself from trying to tell my friends about the online survivor game I play, in fear of dropping my social status to complete nerd, because its usually the conversation following my fantasy-fantasy football team that no one seems to understand Until you play this game, you don't
get what actually is going on inside this thread, but I agree it is a lot of fun.
And don't get me wrong, I wasn't looking for pity for me hosting with my statement... it still is a lot of fun for me to design the challenges and be the first to see all of the crazy twists and turns that comes from inside the game (and unlike mudda, I have ZERO interest in whether or not you guys
like my challenges, just if I feel they are fair

). I Just have found a newfound respect for dubs (and mudda, although I never was around for any of yours) for the work that goes into running this thing 4 or 5 times in a row with no reward, and I guess I found myself kind of "rooting for him" to do well.
But, that's old news. On with the game and Thursday's twist:
A LETTER TO A FRIEND
Today, each of you
individually has the non-mandatory option to write a letter to a friend off the island, with a couple of stipulations.
A) That friend is me.
B) It is sitemail rather than a letter.
Send me a a paragraph or two talking about the Survivor game. You can say anything you like, as if you were writing your own journal. You could talk about all the game, the challenges, the music, the idol clues, etc. that you want. Tell me about a friend (or enemy) you have made while playing, or whatever.
The only specifics I want to see are:
1) Somewhere your letter must have an 80s reference. (i.e. Mention a favorite video I've made you watch, or tell me about your still-sweet black Trans-Am)
2) Somewhere your letter must have the name (moniker) of at least one other person in the game, dead or alive. (i.e. Tell me who is bad at the challenges, or who seems to be your biggest threat, who you get along with, or who you don't, etc.)
3) Tell me how confident you are that you are going to end up winning Survivor.
In return for sending me a letter (by the time the next challenge is due), I will send you an idol clue.
The letters are in strict confidence, and will not be revealed at all during the game.
After the game is completely over, I may quote some of the letters if there is information I feel is funny, important, or whatever.
Friday's Challenge up later this afternoon.
