On a more serious note, I don't think you crucify a guy for a Halloween party 35 years ago where no one was hurt.
He needs to resign.

Topic of day: 2020 Presidential pick

With this topic, your choice doesn't have to be someone who has declared. It may be anyone that you like.

I would love to see Marco Rubio primary Trump. He is definitely my top choice.
Rubio is such a spineless little ****. He has no constituency because he has no principles.

I like Warren and Booker. I think I rank them, in order of preference:

Warren
Booker
Harris

Though the idea of seeing Harris shred Trump in a debate is very appealing.

Not interested in Bernie, Tulsi, or Biden. Go away. Also, Howard Schultz can **** off.

Are we still allowed to ask that question?
I thought the Libs wanted Jesus/God out of everything. (Or is it only Government, schools, History and morality they want them removed from?)

separation of God and state...ever hear of it? I have a question. If you believe in God and Jesus, why do you care what anyone else believes in? what does it matter where you pray to God? I'm pretty sure He wouldn't care? You want to pray in school? why does it need to be an organized thing? Pray to God in your head, He can probably hear you.
This is full of inaccuracies and bad assumptions.
1) I'm fine not basing Government decisions of Christianity or any other religion, but when God is mentioned in Historical documentation, he should stay there.
2) Every Christian should want everyone to believe. It comes with the "label".
3) Where did I ever say school prayer should be organized. It just shouldn't be banned - no matter who you're praying to, if it's done in a way it doesn't interfere with teaching.
4) God does hear all prayers, no matter their volume or where they take place.
1, I don't think I've heard anyone saying God should be taken out of historical documents. If so, that's just silly.
2. what about non-Christians? Not everyone is a Christian. I have no problem with your beliefs, of faith. If they work for you, great. Just don't wave them in my face.
3. Maybe I am wrong but organized school prayer is what is banned (like in homeroom, led by the teacher) I haven't heard of any student gettin g in trouble for praying quietly, on their own.

Aaaand BL has revealed that he loves identity politics.
B_L is on the far left. The far left is for identity politics. Therefore B_L loves identity politics. This isn't a knock on him. He has the right to support anyone or anything he wants. I respect that. What it does do is he give him zero credibility when calling a conservative like Rubio or Cruz spineless. Saying that Rubio has no consticuency was not a very well thought out comment. Rubio is an elected US senator, so naturally he has a consticuency. Pandering to specific groups for votes is pretty spineless in my opinion.

Not sure how saying that Warren is my current favorite for the Dem nomination has anything to do with identity politics but whatever.

My comment regardig Rubio was referring to his appeal as a national candidate. He’s never gotten any traction in the primaries. Up against Trump and Cruz he was able to get roughly 10 percent of the GOP primary votes. The idea that he would mount a credible primary challenge to Trump is comical.

I don't pick my choices for office based on their popularity, I pick them based on their political positions and character. I was hypocritical in the midterm cycle and voted for a low character person for governor, but that was because his opponent was left of you.

But...Rubio???? He just sucks so hard it’s kind of unbelievable.
2/3/2019 10:44 PM
Also, the fact that you may be right about his inability to primary Trump shows a gaping hole in the country's moral fortitude. It's frightening. Your response to this is probably going to "no, it shows a lack of morals in the republican party", but you guys nominated the person with least amount of character in your primary.

And, going back to Warren, I think she’s a high character candidate with great policy ideas.

There’s no reasonable argument that Clinton has less character than Trump.

although i think of rubio as an old school republican that is why he is not a national republican favorite.
too reasonable....too nice... too intelligent...too much like a reagan republican.....too much dignity.....too articulate.......too loyal to his policies.
thus no desirability on a national platform.
for today's republicans he is a wimp like jed bush.
2/3/2019 10:48 PM
Fight her then when the time comes. Obviously, I don't like her policies for the same reason that you probably don't agree with Rubio's policies. I won't question her character as I don't truly know her character. I assume she's scum because I assume all politicians are scum until proven otherwise, but she seems okay.
