No. Must be from a franchise not selected.

From the rules in the classified.

What about the 25th Player?
The 25th round will contain all 60 bonus players (pitchers and hitters). The draft order is the same as the other rounds (lowest cumulative salary drafts first). Each owner will only be able to draft from the 6 franchises they did not select during the 24-round draft. So you won't be able to draft 2016 Kershaw (he is a bonus pitcher) if you already used your Dodgers pick. At the end of this round, every owner should have 25 different franchises represented on their roster.
thanks

Thank you. I would say this draft has gone poorly but that would imply I actually had a plan. In any event, I have regretted a lot of my picks and have seen countless players I was hoping would last another round or two get snapped up by smarter owners.
That brings us to this round where I debated fiercely whether to take Cole now or focus on a couple of other wants/needs. Only three us needed a SP2 and you were the only other one eligible to take a Pirate so I was tempted to let him slide hoping you wouldn't grab him.
Your post indicates I made a rare correct decision and makes me feel a little better.
But, on how I ended up in the sorry position of needing 2015 Cole to be a big part of my rotation.....that's another story.

When I took Cliff Lee many rounds ago (round 9), I was looking at Cole as a fallback option. In retrospect, I would have rather taken a different player and grabbed Cole this late.

Here's the thing about this draft. When deciding between two players, if the guy I did NOT take goes right after I pick, I regret my decision. If the guy I did NOT take is still available on my next pick, then I think I maybe overrated his importance, and will thus wait another round on him, until eventually he gets taken right after I take a different player, at which case I regret waiting that one more round.

In a nutshell, this draft causes lots of regret.

If it makes anyone feel any better, I can honestly say I have not gotten the guy I was targeting in any round, including Round 1. Maybe that should make me feel good since others valued those players as much or more than I, however I don't feel like I am having any success when I end up drafting my 2nd, 3rd or 4th choice for each round.

At least everyone can enjoy all the walks he's going to give up when they visit, hopefully not many hits also. But who needs too many hits when he walks 3 and some bomber sneaks one out.

What's fascinating about this stage of the draft is how vastly different each of our remaining player lists is. We've each filled all but a handful of the columns, and in those we haven't picked yet we've scratched out all the franchises we've used plus all the guys selected already.

In essence we each only have maybe one-sixth or one-seventh of the original player pool available, and what's kind of nice right now is you get to see pick after pick of guys you couldn't have taken anyway. So the chances of having your top choices taken now are much, much lower. For instance, I've got 2 guys in mind this round and exactly one owner can pick either of them ahead of me. Pretty unlikely both do, right? Right?
