Yeah, I'd be too. Carolina looks awesome right now. They seem to be getting big goals every time they need it the most. Much better goaltending than Montreal as well. Staal looks like he's on a mission.

Carolina does not look "awesome". If they looked "awesome", they wouldn't have needed a last minute comeback in Game 7 to win. Carolina looks like a team that is playing great playoff hockey and taking advantage when of their opponents mistakes. The Bruins are significantly better than New jersey. If Carolina is to pull the upset, they'll need to crank it up a few more notches.

Staal may be on a mission, but he was also invisible against the B's this year. 4 games - 0 points. Big Z shut him down. No reason to think he can't do it again.

carolina won a cup already (recently). to me, that's a factor.

not that the canes will beat the b's, but it'll help.

Sak, this is a different Canes team then when the Bruins played them this year. New coach, new system, etc. etc. etc. I believe what did the Devils in was the Cane's speed. At the end of games, the Devils just couldn't keep up. They have a lot of confidence right now and have really been playing their best hockey the last month or so. It's going to be tougher series than you think.

All that being said, this Bruins team reminds me a lot of the 05-06 Canes team that won the Cup. Great chemistry, consistency, will and desire. Four lines playing within a system that works and the team believes in.

It's gonna be a great, great series.

Bingo. I've been thinking that since before the playoffs started. I had no doubt that the Canes would win it that year, and I get that same feeling about the Bruins this year.
