The one world I'm in Mauer, is currently getting ready for the Draft, and I'm looking to confirm what I've been doing, and hopefully not blundering. My biggest factor I take into consideration when setting up my draft board is splits, pitchers and hitters. Next I look at health, and control for pitchers. Hitters has a wide range of secondary factors, Mike I was wondering am I off with this first assessment, and what secondary factors do you look at for hitters and pitchers? Assuming that splits are the top factor to consider when drafting......

I use control and splits to weed out the undesirable pitchers. I use splits for hitters to weed out the undesirables. After that, it's personal preference. I look for three pitches to total 210 for SP and two pitches to total 150 for RP. Projections of course. I ignore vel/gb. For hitters, I'm looking for combinations that suit my team/park. It varies from team to team. Pitchers are pretty constant from park to park for me.

Who gets more hits? The Phillies batting order while blindfolded, or the Braves batting order with the pitcher throwing under handed?

Wouldn't the obvious answer be the Phillies since the Braves, who have struggled with a normal MLB release, would just have no idea how to handle such radical change in release point and pitch trajectory?

People want to feel they "own" the team. They fail to accept, or understand, that being given a group of players by WifS is no different than being given a group of players by a previous owner. You "own" the team when you start acquiring players on your own. I personally think it takes 3 seasons to feel like a team is yours.

I don't really follow the NBA but, judging from those scores, no, they cannot. Unless, of course, Tim Donaughy is the ref and he's got some money on the game.
