Game 85: Montreal's struggles with PL teams continue as they drop a 4-2 decision to visiting Seattle. Denny Neagle pitches seven strong innings for the Emeralds to earn his 14th win. Raul Casanova drives in Montreal's two runs.
Game 86: The trip to Seattle is no better. Facing a right-handed starter for the first time since the Break, the Spectres seem flummoxed by Scott Kamienecki's stuff and fall meekly, 4-1. Ken Caminiti commits his 20th error, which leads to two unearned runs against tough-luck starter Chuck Finley.
Game 87: Playing at historic Yankee Stadium, the Spectres' bats finally come to life. Four players have three hits each and the Spectres pound the Taxi Drivers' Matt Morris on the way to an 8-2 victory. Alex Fernandez strikes out 10 for his ninth victory.
Game 88: Scott Erickson is shaky again, but leaves in the seventh with a 6-4 lead, courtesy of two Jay Buhner home runs and a three-run blast from Edgardo Alfonzo. The bullpen, however, is atrocious. Rick Aguilera and Eddie Guardado combine to allow seven eighth-inning runs and the Taxi Drivers even the series with an 11-6 win.
Game 89: Carlos Delgado triples and homers and the Spectre pitchers walk no batters as Montreal beats Minnesota 5-2 at the Humphreydome. Willie Blair improves to 6-5.
Game 90: Dave Burba gives up three home runs, two to Tony Clark, and the Spectres commit three errors as the MallRats explode for nine runs in the first two innings (four unearned). Montreal can't come back, dropping a 9-6 decision despite outhitting Minnesota 15-11.
The team heads to Chicago for their first trip to Wrigley this season, to face the Bootleggers.
