Good point/theory regarding a vet factor. It would seem he would be on the *extreme* end of a swing of that sort, power-wise (he still has an OBP of .400), but it could be the case, or at least a factor. fwiw, I *hope* WiS has programmed in a vet factor like this.
Regarding whether the update affected some hitters worse than others: Like I said in my post, I know it's too early to be sure, and it's based on extremely limited observation. I'm just putting out one guy who's having an unusually low power output, out of 24 or so hitters on my 2 teams (and out of how many thousands in HBD).
And just as a side note: As a whole, I really like this update. I just wish someone would tell my pitchers about it.
