Another win over Columbia. These don't do much for my team other than stat padding. Well, that and at this point, advancing in the CT. I'd like to just win it again.

coachenstein gives me a tough game, winning the foul battle against several of my players. We still come out ahead, through defense and frontcourt depth, and Burns has a career game.

Hey Coach, good luck in the Conference Championship tonight - the guys are playing well. According to the latest RPI numbers, we're sitting at #10 - I think we *should* be a lock, win or lose, but hey, you hold fate in your hands...just one more game and we're dancing no matter what the committee thinks!

Again, congratulations and best of luck tonight,

04/09colorblind79David was Jewish. Quakers don't know how to fight.
04/09zamiamGG, blud. GL next season. Now I turn my sites on Goliath.
04/09coachensteinHow can Colorblind be Coach of the Year? All he does is push buttons. I, on the other hand, created an NT bubble team from whole cloth. Is this injustice another example of the anti-intellectual bias of the mainstream media?
04/081OldDawgYou too blud, nice win. Back to back games against Columbia and Duquesne plus these last two losses threw us straight from NT bubble team to PIT bubble team. What a collapse.
04/08bludlucianogg OldDawg
04/08coachensteinlol. Mighty big talk coming from a resident of Da Bronx. But then, when you're from Da Bronx, talk's about all you've got going for you.

04/08hoosierchapI guess it is time to start planning for next season.
04/08zamiamGG, hoosier. Wasn't looking forward to that press defense.
04/06coachensteinDon't feel too bad, Blind Man. We West Division teams are a lot tougher than people think. Duquesne is better than their 0-26 record would lead you to believe. In a lesser division they might be as high as 1-25.
04/06colorblind79nope, only 51

04/04schultz11hey - i beat them by 50...the over/under may be interesting as well...i say fordham puts up 110 on them...
04/04coachensteinI think you may not understand how truly awful Duquesne is, and how good Fordham is. 74 is probably a pretty accurate line. If Colorblind wanted to keep his regulars in Fordham could probably cover.
04/04colorblind79bet everything you've got on Duquesne keeping it within 74
04/04thadbLOL! Fordham is a 74 point favorite over Duquesne tonight... gotta love the sim bookmakers.
04/03hoosierchapCB we could really use a win tonight. I am fairly certain there will be no surprise in the morning though.
04/03cyben5150I can sympathize with having a young team. I'm shocked that I've got a shot at the PI despite starting 2 sophs and a freshman. If only my 94 speed / 93 PE guard could hit more than 28% of his 3s...
04/03schultz11yeah, i've got a freshman and a soph replacing my stud sf and pf from last season...they'll be ready soon
04/03coachensteinWe have a nucleus of good, experienced coaches ; Blind, OldDawg, Hoosier, Zamian et al., who are commited to this league for the long term. I think that nucleus will continue to strength the league and eventually attract other good, ...
04/03coachenstein...experienced coaches.
04/03colorblind79the conference is certainly improving on the whole. I simultaneously want that to continue and want to keep dominating it. I guess it's one or the other, though, and I'd prefer the former.
04/03cyben5150That was an ugly game. I think part of your problem may be lack of offensive balance. I was able to pack it inside and stick a double team on Earl without having to worry about anyone else going off from outside. Of course...I don't think I've ...
04/03cyben5150...ever seen that strategy work quite so effectively before.
04/03schultz11man, our shooting has been sooo inconsistent...

This was a close game for a long time and the only reason we were able to keep it that way, let alone pull ahead, was FT shooting.

You may recall that I recruited Luis Buchanan. Anyways, our defense and outside shooting won this matchup, along with avoiding turning the ball over.

The game should sim any minute now. I expect that I might get out-rebounded, but that we should also shoot better than them from outside and from the stripe, and that we should be at the stripe more often than them. I'll post the results in this space. I do expect a win, but they're a good team, so it's not impossible at all that we could lose. Hitting the Sweet Sixteen was the low end of my expectations/hopes for the year. I'd like to go further.

Choke. Our offense and our defense failed us. Colorado packed it inside with a -2. I ran uptempo (and double-teamed if leading scorer on Humiston, who is a bona-fide star), looking to exploit the FT shooting difference. That's in contrast with the slowdown I ran in the Villanova game, against a Press and the normal speed I ran against Rhode Island, against a superb FT shooting team.

Well, I'm disappointed. A good year, but still a disappointment. We had the capacity to win the whole damn thing and we blew it.

Coach, I'm not going to lie, I was probably as guilty as anyone of looking at our path to the Final Four instead of focusing on one game at a time. Even though they were a #3 seed, they were a tough matchup for us. Don't get down though, we're proud that you were able to take Fordham to the Sweet 16!
