THEY WONT

I guess it should be thrilling just to win a series.

The REALLY GREAT news is that the Brewers have their swagger back. Watch out, NL!!!

Now they need their Swindle back

Back to the same old Brewers...score 5 runs, give up more.
8/17/2009 10:41 PM
The Brewers did indeed lose, to the Pirates no less, but their swagger was just awesome to behold.

Once again the smart money says "NO WAY THE BREWERS SEE .500 AGAIN THIS SEASON."

Haudricourt is reporting that Melvin is close to a deal involving Hall. The Reds are supposedly interested. Haudricourt speculates that the Reds might trade either Arroyo or Harang straight up for Hall because both Arroyo and Harang have undesirable contracts.

I would, in a heartbeat, jump on Harang-for-Hall. Harang has gotten **** luck this year but has a better ERA than everyone in the Brewers's rotation not named Yovani Gallardo. He's under contract next season for $12.5 million with a $12.75 million option for '11.

Bill Hall traded to the Mariners and it looks like they will pay most of the contract.

SPORTS ILLUSTRATED.COM REPORTS THAT THE BREWERS WILL PAY THE REMAINDER OF HALL'S $6.8 MILLION CONTRACT THIS YEAR AND MOST OF HIS $8.4 MILLION CONTRACT NEXT YEAR, AS MUCH AS $7.15 MILLION.

Congrats to whoever GM's the Brewers for clueing in on what EVERYONE else knew...Bill Hall sucks.
8/19/2009 7:37 PM
Traded for a 25-year old pitcher who has been at Class A all season.

Blech. Harang would have been much better. There were rumors earlier, however, that Attanasio nixed a Hardy-Harang deal due to Harang's contract.

JJ Hardy update: hitting .182 in AAA.
8/20/2009 10:04 AM
Let's not have him heat up til past Sept 1...then we might actually be able to package him and Hart together for something better than what we got for Hall.
8/20/2009 10:23 AM
Who was Hall rummored to be going to the Twins for a few years back?
8/20/2009 12:45 PM
Johan Santana and Justin Morneau, I believe.
