Me personally, I couldn't give a **** how much $$ Luongo makes a season as long as he's our goaltender. Luo started bad and ended up well. Luo is part of our team and is not responsible for every loss.

Ok first off you cannot compare this team with the team in front of Grant Fuhr. If Fuhr made a save while down 5-1, it was important because they had the team that could score 5 or 6 or 7 EVERY night and in a hurry. The Canucks are a good team, but you're kidding yourself if you honestly believe they have that kind of firepower.

As for people being afraid of the Hawks, I don't think it's a question of that as much as it is people recognizing them as one of the top contenders this season, as well they should. They probably have the best depth in the West at forward, allow the fewest shots in the league which helps insulate their average goaltending and get a ton of shots themselves. They also have great leadership in Jonathan Toews, Patrick Sharp and Duncan Keith and with Quenneville behind the bench, they will never be badly out-coached.

The other thing to remember, and this goes for the Kings as well I think, the younger and deeper teams will benefit from the compressed Olympic year schedule. Teams that rely on one line or one defense pair to play 30+ minutes may get fatigued down the stretch.

They are as complete a team as you can have right now in the salary cap era and this season with this roster will be their best shot at a Cup because of the cap concerns going forward.

Personally as a Hawks fan, I'm afraid of facing a healthy Red Wings team in the first round more than any other opponent. Datsyuk is heating up recently and with their players coming back from injury, they are starting to look more and more like the team that I thought would battle it out with the Hawks for the Division.

The West is tough in general though. Anyone from Chicago to Detroit to LA to Vancouver could represent the Conference in the finals with a good run. Getting there is going to be a gauntlet though.

By todays standards, even though I cant stand the ref plagued boys... they have that firepower.. tied for 2nd in the NHL in goals with your Hawks... which I dont think even the most loyal Canuck fan could have predicted.

I know last night i looked at the score and was happy... only to have Fin Samuelsson score a hatty and help my opponent in this week's fantasy matchup... F*cker

and they do it all the time lately... when the refs let up and stop ruining the game for them, they come back and pull it out.

Nick, I'm not denying that they are a high scoring team, but not the Canucks, not the Hawks, not anybody has the firepower that Grant Fuhr had in front of him. That was the point I was trying to make.

I know.. I was putting it relative to todays NHL.. different eras... 7 goal a game happened then as many times 5 goal games happen now

Fair enough. I'm just not sure that the Canucks are built to win on offense...afcorse with their decimated blueline this season they may not have a choice.

Just thought I'd post this...Canucks fans should be proud to have these 2 working and living in Vancouver.

WTF ? If you read my posts I was saying the Canucks won in spite of the ****** goaltending..are you too f-ckin stupid to know what that means?..Luongo lets in 3 easy ones then stops some tough ones to make up for it?..he f-ckin should ..you idiot! he is the reason it was close in the first place..if he was even remotely good Canucks wouldve won 4-1..instead of having to come from behind once again..IT WAS HIS FAULT FOR THE 3 SOFT GOALS!!

even he said it was his worst period in the NHL..go back to jacking off to your life size Luongo poster dipshit

OK from now on im the Canuck fan who is realistic and can criticize his teams players from an unbiased perspective.. do not relate me to Juskay who will be found licking and or sniffing the jock strap of every player on the Canucks team roster..he will be noticeable from a distance.(look for the rose coloured glasses)..I Randle can speak openly about our #1 goalies 3.53 GAA and below 90% save over the last 14 ..Juskay on the other hand will tell you how a 3.53 GAA and below 90%save over the last 14 games qualifies for the early entry into the hall of fame..

feel free to ask me for my opinion on the state of the Canucks..who iam a long time fan and am very pleased at their recent play in spite of below average goaltending..being a fan does not obligate me to blindly drop to my kness and neel and bob like some (JUSKAY)..and worship the c-ck of all players wearing the Canuck jersey..I for one beleive that a team can overcome their deficiences(goaltending) and leadership(Gillis) and make a strong run..

Iam a individual mind and can form my own opinion..unlike my special needs Canuck partners who can only perform miimal tasks at best..and are told by the hockey news or other tabloids what to think(refer back to the 3.53 gaa and well below 90%save)

we are all Canucks (no matter the intellect)

Actually I beleive you said that Luongo could not make the big save when his team had visions of a comeback........Your statement could not be further from the truth. Luongo made several BIG saves in the second period and in the third, and HIS team completed the COMEBACK, so you were WRONG.

I do not want to get into a ******* contest with you. I am a CANUCKS FAN first, so when I talk about my team I like to see the GLASS HALF FULL, not half empty. Luongo has been fighting the puck lately, but the team is still winning, and WINNING is all that matters to me.

Winning is everything, Luongo had a bad game and the team still won and that's all I care about as a fan. You want to call me names go ahead. The team just finished 8-5-1 on the longest road trip in NHL history, and I as a CANUCKS fan am VERY happy with the result.

I will not stoop to your level of name calling, so please leave my name out of your posts and rants. thank-you

I have never requested a POST be RED LINED ....So I won't request this post be red lined....But I think this post is insulting, rude and uncalled for. I am a fan who may forever leave this site because of posts like this. It is not fun to be called names for speaking your mind, and you have crossed a line that should not be crossed.
