It is expected that color="#cc0000Olli" Jokinen will be in the Calgary Flames' lineup when they play tonight in Calgary against the Philadelphia Flyers. color="#cc0000Brandon" Prust may also be in the lineup but it could be color="#cc0000Brian" McGrattan instead.

In any case, it is clear that the deal that looked on Sunday night as though it was agreed to - Jokinen and Prust to the New York Rangers in exchange for color="#cc0000Chris" Higgins and Alex Kotalik - is not going to happen over the course of today.

Not sure I am missing something, but it was the Hull deal that gave us the cup, the Gilmour trade was a disaster

Unfortunately Leeman took a MacInnis slap shot to the ear and fractered his inner ear 2 months after joining the Flames. That trade would not have looked so bad without that injury.

Something tells me that Torts has his favorites and he has his black list, but there's no grey area in-between. You're either in the club or begging for pennies in the street.

Sources tell TSN the New York Rangers and Calgary Flames are expected to announce a trade tonight that will send Calgary centre Olli Jokinen and forward Brandon Prust to the Rangers in exchange for forwards Ales Kotalik and Christopher Higgins.

Jokinen was originally acquired by Calgary from the Phoenix Coyotes at last year's trade deadline.

Kotalik has been sent home from New York's road trip earlier on Sunday after being told by the team that he would be traded.

The 31-year old has been scratched by head coach John Tortorella in eight of the club's last nine games. He was signed to a three-year, $9 million deal as a free agent by New York last summer.

In 45 games, Kotalik has eight goals and 14 assists, with a plus/minus of -18. His best offensive season was with the Buffalo Sabres in 2005-06, when he scored 25 goals and added 37 assists.

done deal

Well Kotalik cant be sticking with this team.. there has to be another move in the works... does not strike me as a Sutter player, but then either does Stajan, Hagman or Higgins...

Defintely need some time to gel after last night.. yuck.. keep telling myself we were on fire last year when we first got Jokinen and he lit it up... we all know where that went.. so now we are doing the reverse this year.. I am stretching it with this spin job.. but hey

Kotalik is in the process of being traded... sounds like a team in the east

Backlund has not been sent down either
