WASHINGTON — Donald J. Trump seemed to modulate his position on Second Amendment protections on Wednesday, saying in a Twitter message that he would be meeting with the National Rifle Association to discuss preventing individuals on the terrorist watch list from purchasing guns.
“I will be meeting with the N.R.A., who has endorsed me, about not allowing people on the terrorist watch list, or the no-fly list, to buy guns,” Mr. Trump wroteWednesday morning. The N.R.A. said it would be happy to meet with Mr. Trumpin a Twitter post of its own.
I honestly don't know this so I will ask a few questions.
Is the terrorist no fly list public?
And can I assume that anyone on the no-fly list isn't notified?
And if we do restrict no-fly list guys from buying guns, and they don't know they are on the no-fly list, if they go to try and buy a gun, and have no record or anything, will the Gov't tell the seller why they can't buy a gun?
And finally...
(assuming the no-fly list is not accessable outside the Gov't) Is this a situation Trump's gonna ask the NRA for permission to restrict people on a list that the NRA will not have access to from buying guns?
