So I missed them losing in 13 instead of 9. Not a bad move in retrospect, actually.

Much better for your sleep.

Except you're still awake.

Rosenthal is reporting that a ton of Brewers were put on waivers today, including Looper, Counsell, Kendall, Lopez, maybe Hoffman.

I guess Melvin finally realized that we are out of it. Thanks for waking up, Doug.

Little chance of getting any decent return at this point so I don't expect anything to happen.

The bottom is falling out.

No fear, Dave Bush is here!

Cameron hit a Burnitz (defined as meaningless late-inning solo home run) to give Coco a cheap save opportunity.

Reports that "a rival team" has put in a claim on Trevor Hoffman. Cards or Cubs?
8/27/2009 10:58 PM
I think the Brewers' rivals at this point are more along the line of the Nationals or Pirates.

Fox Sports reports that Looper, Counsell, Cameron and Kendall have cleared waivers.

Shocking that no one tried to claim Kendall. The man is a machine. And he calls a great game.
8/28/2009 10:18 AM
Reports are the Giants claimed Hoffman.
8/28/2009 12:46 PM
I doubt anything will happen. Hoffman is a likely Type A free agent; two top draft picks are probably more attractive than whatever schlub the Giants might be willing to give up.

Manny Parra continues to be garbage, but the Brewers give him Looper-like support and beat the Pirates 8-6.
8/28/2009 11:21 PM
Back on track, I'm 5-3 this season. Seeing Gallardo face the Pirates twice helped a lot, no doubt.

I've seen the Pirates three times this year (including once at Wrigleyfest) and they are 0-3 in those games. I think they may suck.

Gerut's obviously starting to pick it up. He (and Catalanotto) are making me more and more comfortable with the idea of trading Hart in the offseason.
8/30/2009 12:26 AM
Could probably get a decent return from KC. Dayton Moore, their GM, seems to love players who can barley clear a .300 OBP.

SWEEEEEPPPPP!!!!

21 straight home wins against Pittsburgh.

Unfortunately we will not see them again this season.
