For him, personally, it was probably a good day. He's had to carry that around for years while knowing, sooner or later, the truth would come out. Getting that off his chest and not having to hide is probably liberating. That said, he didn't do himself any favors in the public eye. He simply confirmed what almost everyone believed to be true. And, when given the chance to say it helped him be a better ballplayer(which it did simply because it allowed him to work out more frequently and harder), he steadfastly denied that 'roids made any difference in his ability. That's simply not true. While he had to lift the weights, the 'roids healed his muscles quicker and allowed him to lift more. That helped him be a better ballplayer.
