HD Losing Interest? Topic

I think part of the problem is the cost. I'm not trying to be picky or get the cost down. Part of the problem though is when you pay that much for something you better be dedicated to it. So, it forces you to make time. Even though whatifsports is exteremly fun. It has alot of minuses too 1. You lose money playing it. 2. It takes time away from your schedule. Those are just two things I have noticed.

I like it too and would change all of my teams to it. Especially since I can see the results during my lunch at work. But I can see where it's not for everyone.

Any updates for Crum coming? I took a look around this morning and see a lot of sim teams down in D3. There is exactly 1 human in the Little East. I didn't think I'd ever see that in D3.

Not sure what you are referring to, but the long time users I know with multiple teams have been dropping them because of the time involved to gameplan for 10-12 teams. I am down to 5 from 12, not because anyone ****** me off, but it is just so time consuming to play the game at a high level against top coaches night after night.

Then I read other threads where coaches want more options for game planning. That would drive some of us crazy, even more options to have to deal with.

The issue for WIS is not getting current players to purchase multiple teams, it is attracting the new user and building a base that is strong enough to support the overall product. You can't continue to squeeze your best customers, you need new blood.

desando, he is referring to the horrendous reward points change discouraging D3 dynasties.

Honestly, I think they may have one of the worst marketing teams in recent history....
.... they have their parent company (Fox) showing the World Series. They get WIS to run a simulation of the series and to predict who wins. Not only does the WIS Sim get it correct, they predict it all the way down to the number of games, that Kenny Rogers would get the sole win for the Tigers, Jared Weaver pitching excellent, and so on and so forth...... yet not one word during the broadcast. All they do is run a short article that takes about 6 different clicks from the mainpage of foxnews to finally find.
(Yes, I understand that it is probably more complicated than "hey say something about us," but..... I mean, come on.)

I'll tell you all one thing, I am just about done with WIS. I'm letting my Tark account run out. With Fantasy NBA starting, and the new SIM engine I'm completely turned off by it.

There is going to be a big marketing push by FOX for both HD and GD after they get the facelifts done.
I think they assume if people come on now and don't like it they will never come back.
The HD facelift is a few months off, and GD a few months after that.

Agreed. if you sell your soul to the devil (murdoch) you should at least get some cash and publicity out of it
