FIRST CHALLENGE
Pick a team from the 1920s. One you like and one you don’t like. Team choices must be sitemailed to me, not posted in the forum. In the spirit of the game, please do not discuss your team selections with other owners, even those you plan to form alliances with.
You will play a two-game series against another opponent. In one game you will play with your good team and your opponent will use your bad team, in the bad team's park. In the other game, you will use your opponent's bad team in its park against your opponent's good team. So in the two games, you will play once with your good team and once with your opponent's bad team. The bad team may use any pitchers in relief. Runs allowed will be the tiebreaker. Runs allowed by the good team will be the second tiebreaker if needed. If two players take the same team, that team will be ineligible and all owners taking that team will repick.
As an example, if I take the 26 Yankees as my good team and the 24 Red Sox as my bad team, and my opponent takes the 23 Phillies as his good team and the 25 Pirates as his bad team, the matchups would be:
Game 1: I manage the 26 Yankees against my opponent using the 24 Red Sox in Fenway Park.
Game 2: I manage the 25 Pirates against my opponent using the 23 Phillies in Forbes Field.
The top two players will get to choose two players to be on their tribe and send one player to the other tribe, with the top player getting first choice at those decisions. The remaining players will be randomly assigned to a tribe. If there is an odd number of players in the first round, the top player will send one opposite-tribe member to Exile Island.
I have chosen two bonus teams from the 1920s. Picking one of those teams to use in the challenge (even if more than one owner chooses the team and it is tossed out of the competition) will get the owner(s) an Immunity Idol clue.
