leslie (and you cant read this if you did block me so someone please repost)

Nobody would have kept this up if you werent so defensive about it.  I asked you a simple question in world chat when you first joined...
oriolemagic Southern Bells 7/30/2010 10:19 AM welcome leslie. Based on your profile I am assuming you had a different username and created a new account?

You then started with it right away...

lesliechow Bison 7/30/2010 6:15 PM I like the game, take it seriously (but not too seriously), and have the time and the means to play as much as I want to. I've found that there seems to be some kind of rampant paranoia on this site about alias persons, and I'm not sure why.
lesliechow Bison 7/30/2010 6:15 PM What's the point to being su****ious? It's the internet. People misrepresent themselves constantly on all sites, generally speaking. Just relax and enjoy the game, and stop worrying about some non-existant phantom lurking around the corner.

Then you start signing contracts that seem a little odd.  Again a simple quesiton about it and you blow your gasket.  That alone will make people wonder what is going on.  If it was an honest thing and you didnt blow up about it we would have offered advice on how signing 37 year olds to 5 year contracts with a no trade clause isnt a good idea.  Instead of saying, yes I am new and I have some things to learn, you freaked out and told us to mind our own business.  That is what draws attention to yourself.

can you post a link to the 37 year old?

He has been accused of it before.  I've had two other people contact me about other leagues.
8/6/2010 2:48 PM
Ill try to find the worse ones, but this is one of the bad ones from the league i am in with him.  Its not that bad of a deal until year 4 and 5 when the guy is 41 and 42 and making 7 million dollars.  There really bad deals were in a couple other leagues but I have to go through is leagues to find them.

Wow, the pitchers already declining quickly.
8/6/2010 2:54 PM
Yeah, its a simple mistake to make.  You see a good pitcher and dont realize he dropped a ton last year and its only going to get worse each of those 5 years.  It could have been an honest rookie mistake.  But when you do the same thing (and sometimes worse) in 7 other leagues you have to wonder is it an honest mistake or is something fishy.  Couple that with how he has reacted about it and it makes you believe something is fishy.
8/6/2010 2:56 PM
He's still a pretty good pitcher.  The problem is that his Dur/Stm and health are taking a tumble.   A guy like that goes from 200 innings this season to 115 by his 5th season while the rest of his ratings turn him mediocre.  So, when he's 40, he's a decent LR making 7m.   That's not a contract you want.
8/6/2010 3:01 PM
He's an alias.   There's no question.  The question is what are his intentions.   No one will know until he starts leaving worlds.
8/6/2010 3:02 PM
Yeah, I am sure that we all made mistakes that bad or worse when we first started. The problem is the its my team and I will do what I want with it mentality. He doesn't understand or even care that contracts like that are horrible for the league.

Season 11..

I traded
A good first basemen for this turd because I didnt know any better and needed to rebuild.  Then I argued with MikeT about it being part of my rebuilding.  I wish I had a season under my belt, would have cut a year from my rebuilding if I had actually gotten anything for my guys in return for them.

One of the worst first-season mistakes I had ;)

dmurph's site is gay porn.
and your credit card is about to expire.

Lol how did that trade not get vetoed?
8/6/2010 3:14 PM
The backloaded contract with a player option and a no trade clause sure looks like standard operating procedure for a sign and bail alias. It just seems like way too much to be a noob mistake.

Your post was a little bit deceiving.  Not sure why you felt the need to leave out the following posts that came between both of your original posts:

lesliechow Bison 7/30/2010 3:43 PM I am a relatively new player, and this is my first account. Can you have more than one?

oriolemagic Southern Bells 7/30/2010 5:41 PM Its a common cheating mechanism to have an "alias". Just curious because new players don't typically field 7 teams, let alone teams in private leagues. Not questioning you just seemed a little su****ious. Good luck

I still think he's an alias, but you did provoke him into defending himself.
8/6/2010 3:17 PM
At the time I was explaining why people were concerned about Alias and didnt think I was attacking him in anyway.  I even said, "Not questioning you" and even threw in a "Good Luck"

Yeah, I thought the same thing.
