There's a new world in it's first rollover, so it's hidden

Could have been given the OK in May and didn't get started until early June.   And that's assuming it hasn't been hidden for two weeks.

World                   -        Date of Start of Budget Distribution
Upper Deck        -         6/27
Josh Gibson       -        7/2
Steinbrenner      -        8/13
Gary Carter         -         9/4

So technically 1 per month is accurate.
It's plain to see that that is four worlds in almost 10 weeks.  Not one per month.

That world was visible when I started my complaining thread, 5 days ago.

OK, they were given the OK in May and didn't start until early June.

I know, in SB, we were given the OK on 8/4 or 8/5.  Took about a week before everyone was entered.

So the consensus is the recent new worlds have not impacted the current glut of available teams in established worlds?

And soon all those available teams/worlds will be full and there will not be a problem as evidenced a couple years ago?

My own point of view is that I found it more difficult to fill my world this time as opposed to previous times.  Anecdotal evidence to be sure, but it also seems like it's taking the other worlds that always roll around the same time as mine longer to fill than I've ever noticed.

steelers, I think it may have a minor impact but it's not the reason 20 private worlds are seeking owners or why there are opening in public worlds.   August/September have always been tough times.    Aaron/Ruth were created in June(I think).   WifS opened up the floodgates about 6 weeks later.   So 100 worlds, more or less, opened up in July/August.   It doesn't take a math genius to know that many of them will roll at the same time every year.   The other 50+ worlds are scattered.

And this is the worst time as interest in baseball is waning, interest in football is increasing and the summer drifters are back in school.

Good point about the glut of worlds all rolling at once.  But, as I said, this has been the toughest rollover since I took over as my world's commish two and a half (real life) years ago.  If you are correct, my world (#66) must be one of the glut from season to season.

The economy sucks.  While $8 a month may not seem like a big deal, everyone makes choices when money gets tighter.   I believe some people have cut back on teams due to insufficient funds.

I have a solution: more HBD, less posting on the forums about HBD.

Lead the way, buddy!!!!!    See you next July!!!!

If I can have a fast rollover every time, maybe I can get Yaz away from the glut.

Currently 33 openings in 6 public worlds (not to mention unknown openings in private worlds).

So has the existence of 7 new worlds, currently in only their 1st or 2nd season, helped to create this problem?

Two of the worlds in their 2nd season required 9 new owners between S1 and S2. Didn't they all have to commit to 3 seasons or something like that?
everyone knew this would happen if/when wis created these new worlds...the supply outweighs the demand...it seemed like common sense...but admin did it anyway...

I'm in 3 worlds.  Two of them recently rolled with no problem whatsoever.  One is sitting and will be for a while.  Want to know what the 2 that rolled quickly have in common?  They are strong worlds with very few openings.  The 3rd world?  Now generally a tard world with lots of openings.

The demand in this game has always been cyclical.  The good worlds will not have a problem regardless.  The bad worlds with lots of openings will from time to time.  It's been that way for a long time and it will be that way into the future.  The only way to have short rollovers is to have a strong world with few openings.  I'm not going to blame "too much supply" because my tard world with 8+ openings is still sitting.

At some point, it's also in WIS best interests to have new customers play in a good new world instead of a tarded up existing world, even if it means the tarded up existing world sits for a while.  New users who play in bad worlds as their first experience probably don't have a strong retention rate.
