My guess is that he would have kept the super-stacked team, let it roll with 31 openings, and hope for it to eventually fill.

It was really stupid too - every alias has a similar name and there was no world chat at all until 2 or 3 weeks in when someone spotted it and called him out in the forums.

Can you merge two leagues that don't have 32 total owners?  Who knows how many leave because they don't want to merge?

Neither of them wants to do that because they'll lose their "history".   I forget which world said it but one owner said "They should just abandon their teams and fill out open spots."   I think he was serious.
