The last five are listed as RP in the WIS database, though obviously they have a few IP each. I think the rule is that if 1/2 the appearances are as an RP, then you're an RP.

brian has the distinction of selecting only 4 players who are usable at this cap. lots of crappy starters being selected. is this a screw your neighbor league?

I was thinking it was basically like a progressive league. At the end of the draft, you've got to select between a lot of dreck. And, unlike most of the other leagues we're playing, there will be some very unbalanced teams, with some truly terrible #7 and #8 hitters and #4 and #5 starters. But I think it'll be fun to have realistic teams like that.

Well, we certainly won't be lacking for innings after that team...

yes all strategies are fair game and this theme blends different opinions of how we want to play this league. it's just not a popular choice, as evidenced by all the complaints about the $120m theme. at some point avoiding losers becomes the dominant strategy, more important than actually figuring out who the best players are. personally I don't prefer to play that way.

Will there be some type of rule restricting selections (i.e. only can select one of the submitted shortstops per team) or is it all's fair in love and war when selecting players (I assume some players could play other positions and might be attractive to be selected even though that position has already been taken previously).

[Edit] Reading the description again it sounds like people will be restricted so some of these submitted selections will have to be played even though more attractive options might be available.

you need to fill each slot. there's no rule that says you have to use them. I suspect most will use bench players to replace bum starters and some may try to get by with 9 pitchers.
