LOL, this forum is now getting play in the world chat.  I love this one.
teamhunt Geezers 4/26/2015 11:21 AM Maybe those idiots should have heeded Gleemans warning about not trading until you understand player value.
teamhunt Geezers 4/26/2015 11:21 AM Gleeman turned down an offer from me when I started because I was offering too much. I wouldn't dignify their complaints with a minute of my time to read
teamhunt Geezers 4/26/2015 11:21 AM them. I pity them for spending precious time on this earth complaining about how they were treated poorly in an online simulated baseball game. Feel free to start your own league and recruit players to fill it. Dont let the door hit you on the way out.

this is one of his trades from the previous season.   He gave: http://www.whatifsports.com/HBD/Pages/Popups/PlayerProfile.aspx?pid=4964967 plus $4,000,000
      in exchange for www.whatifsports.com/HBD/Pages/Popups/PlayerProfile.aspx

I have to say your continued talk about this is starting to sound like whining. If you are no longer in the world what does it matter to you what goes on? Trade rape isn't collusion so what's the point?
4/26/2015 12:43 PM
Actually it is.  Back on the second page of this topic is listed the fair play guidelines.  The first item listed is one sided trades.  Or, you can just skip this topic completely and avoid the whining.

Most owners are already well aware of the goings on in gleeman's world.

You've made your point and shined a spotlight on them that maybe exposed a few owners that weren't already aware.

You've left that tard world and hopefully will be a quality owner in other worlds. THAT is the plus side of gleeman. He has access to a ton of prospective owners, and he does bring in a bunch.

Net win for the site.

Move on.

Nope.  Unless you intend to write me a check for the money it cost me.  Until that point in time, I will beat that dead horse with lots of gusto.

i would just join the Big Sky Alumni, jackie Robinson or the Negro league if i was you,,,, all 3 great worlds
4/26/2015 4:10 PM
If he's not going to dignify the complaints with a minute of the time to read them, why did he post about it?   I don't understand.

4/26/2015 5:58 PM
But here's the thing.  No way, if I'm Gleeman, would I post in this thread.   Everything that's he's done is on record.   He knows.  And the owners in his worlds know.  It seems that most of them are fine with it.      It's a no win for him.

If tbott wants to complain about it, good for him.   On page 1 I explained how part of it is on him.   He didn't do any research and found out the hard way.   Cost him a HBD credit.    Next time, I bet he digs a little deeper.

I agree wholeheartedly, pretty big mistake for a guy with 60+ seasons.
4/26/2015 6:03 PM
Your probably right about the research. But those 60 plus seasons are in just 3 worlds over, how long has HBD been around, 10-12 years. I have never had more than 2 teams at once. Plus, the research I did do was reading what WIS had written up about Gleeman and it was, of course, complimentary.

t2bott sounds a little bitter to me. Its $25. Not breaking the bank there... Lessons learned... blah blah blah...

That said, one of Gleeman's disciples posted this. I think its classic: " People hate people who win. Aaron gleeman=New England Patriots"

It's 2015, and I live in a world with things called Internet Celebrities.

It's funny that Gleeman was compared to NE since pretty much everyone believes NE bends the rules on the reg in order to win.
4/27/2015 9:02 AM
Does Gleeman run his worlds like the EPL and Championship leagues in England? 'Prove yourself' in Gleeman 2 and you can be promoted to Gleeman? I've thought about that formal relationship before, as a way to solidify relationships between worlds and help recruiting. No relegation though.
4/27/2015 9:11 AM
I wasn't going to post here, but t2bott is getting the criticism all wrong. Those trades he's posting are salary dumps. It's not collusion. You have one guy basically saying "here, have this guy I don't want anymore, I'll pay for his salary this year. You're on the hook next year." It clears some space on next years cap.

The problem that the world needs to fix is that the cost to hoarding young players should be that you will lose some of them for nothing, but AG rarely has to pay that cost, because too many owners in the world are happy to bail him out of those tough choices on late or post arb-eligibles. There aren't too many instances of trade rape anymore, though it clearly happened a bit earlier in the worlds history (not just Gleeman, either).
