Since I've got a little time to kill before my flight, I'll go unfiltered for a bit and make some way-too-early predictions for playoff teams. I wonder if any of these will end up being right... (probably not).

NL East - Very tough one right off the bat. slainte has out drafted me before, so I'm inclined to give him the edge
NL Central - Another tight one. Could go either way between jbar8888 and SouthHeat. I'll give it to jbar8888 since he's defending champ
NL West - I'm definitely bias, but the draft has gone pretty well for me and I'm confident my strategy will work well.
Wildcard - Lots to choose from here. Despite being late on a lot of these early picks, I really like what duece_duece has going and think it'll be him

AL East - I like what asufan04 is doing with his squad. Good mix of hitting and pitching so far
AL Central - If Morris and Welch hold up, which I think they will, my money's on bottomlee
AL West - Tough to bet against a quality owner like ej, but I like Rattlers team a bit more so far
Wildcard - If ejstockman can get the most out of Reb Russell (harder to do than for King, surprisingly), he's got this
NL West is mine, ozomatli. Best of luck with the Wild Card!

We'll see, Kyle. Those are fightin' words, but I think my squad matches up pretty well against yours so far.

Don't sleep on the other two teams either, I don't know roadhouse well but dipped is very dangerous.

If we aren't fightin', then where's the fun? Agree your squad is looking tough...I'm bummed you scooped up Buffinton.

There's still one guy out there you could grab as a replacement. I thought d_rock was going to take him before you got the chance. A guy I almost took over Smith, but Smith's HR/9 was too good to pass on

If it's the guy I think ur thinking of, I would've taken him, but I panicked cuz I was in class and thought I was late, so I opened up Google and typed in Amos Rusie.

Roadhouse19, I'm not in this draft... lol, sorry I can't make your proxy pick for ya! :P

Just took Catfish Hunter to round out my rotation. Passed up on middle INF & a 3rd OF. Hope those guys are there next round...: P

Very interesting draft so far... it's obvious that most people are putting a lot of thought into it and making good picks. I've been kind of goofy with my own choices taking some guys because they're really famous and I can't believe they've slipped so far. I've got a power team shaping up that would crush any league that excluded deadball pitchers. But in this league who knows... we might end up pretty mediocre.

C Mike Napoli (short season but without a weakness, I was very pleased to get him in the 9th round)
1B Mark McGwire (I'm a little worried he will be a "hot pile of garbage" again)
2B Robinson Cano (good glove, will probably bat 9th)
3B Pedro Guerrero
SS Bill Dahlen
(has the speed and OBP, and is a strong enough hitter overall to lead off in a DH league, hope he doesn't cost me games with his glove)
OF Stan Musial (looking for big numbers from him and the other OFs in Fulton County Stadium)
OF Joe Dimaggio
OF Sammy Sosa
DH Ted Williams
C Don Padgett
OF Bobby Murcer
SS John Valentin

SP Lady Baldwin (I will try to use him vs. heavily lefty lineups as much as possible )
SP Roger Clemens (He and Chance should control HRs very well but I'm nervous about high WHIPs)
SP Dean Chance
SP Juan Marichal
(in keeping with the theme of taking really famous guys who were passed over he was chosen #531 overall... will be strictly a road specialist as he would get hammered for HRs in my park)
RP Billy Wagner (good lefties are scarce... took him in the 10th because of his great ERC* and OAV* but worried that he will allow HRs.)
RP Rob Nen
RP Jake McGee
RP Francisco Rodriguez
RP Sergio Romo
RP Bobby Jenks
RP Jonathan Broxton

RP Russ Springer
RP Aaron Sanchez

payroll: 188.8 million - 7353 PAs for $ 103.4 milion and 2063 IPs for $85.4 million.

I like your low strikeout, high AVG lineup. Trying to stay away from batters with over 100 strikeouts but it's hard!!!
