And before I get slaughtered on the "realism" aspect of the game the scenario outlined above is another tough sell to a new user. The game isn't going to be 100% realistic but there are lots of issues that just make much sense.
I recognize losing a 70/30 battle is frustrating(I've lost one of similar percentages) but you also win one on occasion(I've won one at 44, IIRC).

This is NOT something that keeps new users away. Hell, they probably have no idea because I see, in these forums all the time, "Where are you guys getting these percentages?"
They don't battle. D3 is a wait and reallocate ap long void.
Zorzi, I don't know why you keep insisting that is how everyone recruits in D3. I battle EVERY SINGLE SEASON there.
I've just had the 2nd straight season at D3 of signing players using AP only. 9 players in total.

I rarely battle anyone but sims at D3.

Did you avoid them or did no humans show up?

No one showed up. Not even sims. They were my top targets.

That never happens to me! I have 3-4 CV and over 10 HV's on one of my current recruiting sessions.

Its been awhile since I've had a dice roll at D3. I cab only remember one that I lost to a conf mate maybe 5 seasons ago at CNU

Dude, I know people hate this but it really is luck when sims don't show up. I've just gotten lucky that those simmy jerks don't like my guys.

You probably play in one of those pansy *** conferences that don't recruit each others targets cause you are all pansyass pansy *****, though. I mean that is an important detail.

Hahaha yeah must be. But like I said. Last dice roll I had at D3 was against conf mate.

Have to agree with TJ. zorzi yammers on about location so I think he believes you park yourself as far away from anyone as you can. Then, if a human shows up, just move on. I'm in a full conference. We have biggest dick battles all the time. We're in the heavily populated NE.

If you want to play humans, which most people claim, join conferences with humans. If you don't run from one another, you'll fight over recruits.

The increase in pool size of players available combined with the dwindling populations makes it pretty easy to sustain a highly competitive D3 conference without tripping over each other. USAS is pretty spread out too.

But isn't it better to beat your conferencemate for a recruit?

I guess? Its not like I had a choice. I can't speak for the rest of them but I don't avoid them intentionally. I guess I could go seek out who theyre going for but that's not how I recruit.

Of my entire list that I created from day 1, not a single player has signed with a team from USAS. Maybe they just have higher standards than me or something.

Oh sorry I actually lied. This one guy signed with piedmont and battled another USAS team for him and they were both VH.

It's probably just preference. I prefer to play humans. I just loaded my non-con with human challenges when I KNOW that was a stupid thing to do(full conference will get my SOS where it needs to be). It's more challenging to compete against people whether it be games or recruiting.

The way zorzi explains it, he would avoid human recruiting altogether. So he never has to fight for a recruit. That doesn't seem like fun. So he, and maybe you, are playing to compete against people in the NT. I prefer to do that the entire season including recruiting.

I certainly don't think that's the "smart" way but, if I want to play alone, I can crank up the ol' xbox and do that.

Damn, Benis is proving I am right. Go to a deserted area, work the ap, profit
