My three low cap teams are all tied for playoff spots right now. If it is still this way in two weeks time, it will be real squeaky bum time.

FWIW, I think my 100M team is actually good, and should get a playoff spot comfortably, and my 80M and 90M teams are actually bad, and will fade away. But the closer we get to the end of the season, the less it matters how good the teams actually are, and the more random it all gets.

Your 100M team is good but it depends how much you need to rely on the < 20k pitchers the rest of the way. I'm in the same boat to a degree

These are rankings of all 144 teams based on the stdev of that team vs the others in it's respective league. 1 = best, 144 = worst.

Some things that stick out are that calhoop has both the worst team in the tournament and the 6th best. Similarly, I have the three of the top ten teams but also the 137th. Brianjw is the only person to have all six of his teams in the top 50% (ranking at 72 or better) -- everyone else faltered somewhere. He also currently has both the #1 and #2 overall teams.

For each league, here is the correlation between a team's overall rank, as shown above, and the owner's rank in the tournament.

What this means is that good performance in the 100M and 110M leagues is more likely to indicate overall success than any of the other leagues. The 120M league also scores decently. The 255M league has the lowest correlation, which makes sense considering how owners are grouped together for the draft.

This is interesting, since none of the Top 10 teams come from either the 100M or 110M leagues. Rather, a lot of the worst teams do, which tells me that it was common for owners to get tripped up by those leagues more than the others (rather than some owners exploiting a clearly advantageous strategy).
