Historical Cookie Scores in any leagues where it's posted was a big consideration of mine. That's probably just as big of a differentiating factor in who to pick as historical performance is. Definitely did some forum scouring

I'm not sure about my own division. Donburgh is certainly a great pick, but I'm not sure what to think of dippedncrack. If I had to guess, this division is probably middle of the road in terms of difficulty, although there is a lot of uncertainty.

Picking magicdreamer for myself was a pretty big gamble. Not that I'd ever want to bet against someone good enough to make it this far, but I'm hoping he can't repeat his 65m performance.

The bigger problem for me is that the division of death is in my league. Oh, and also I'm not that good at low caps myself :P I was very lucky to do as well as I did in round 1.

I am not sure I would have taken that gamble if I were you. But then again, as you point out, this is Round 2 so there are no soft touches. But my strongest play is in the low cap leagues and I struggle in leagues with caps over $100M. In the 65-70M leagues in this tournament, my average win total is 91.4. Now watch me pull a 60 win team out of my hat for saying that. At least by finishing at #20 and picking 2nd, I will likely get most of the players I would have drafted anyway.

Just to clarify, am I to send my roster with the actual season in which I'm using each player, or just the roster of players by name?

Oh I was totally projecting. I don't really feel like MY low cap success is skill, so no one else can actually be good at it either :)

I just hopped on the site for the first time since last night. I saw the sitemail telling me to go ahead and begin drafting my $70M team. My initial reaction was, "That can't be right!" I like to think I'm not half bad at low caps, but now I'm worried. Let's hope that drafting first is still actually an advantage in the division of death!

Well the draft order didn't do me any favors as picking last in the first round also meant getting stuck with the very last pick (so I ended up having NO choice in where to place my first AND last pick (and zero choice on who I got with the last pick as well ). So unlike every other owner, half my choices were made for me. /endrant

I was about to change my mind with my 2nd round pick but mildnhazy was too quick once I got out of the shower this morning to change my pick.

I should clarify that when I say a pick is great, I don't mean that it is because the owner is bad (no one that is "bad" would make it to the cage). What I mean is that these owners weren't particularly successful in the $65m theme in Round 1, and they weren't rostering a lot of "cookie" players.

jmissirlis either scouted me well or guessed well, because my entire history with low caps consists of the first round themes in these past two tournaments, and my 65M team was by far my worst. I've played progressives where I just happened to end up with a salary in this range, but that's not especially useful experience. And I'll have two people submitting before me, so I might have to redo whatever I figure out. I don't expect to do very well in this round generally, but it's a good bet this will be my worst team or close to it.

I almost took you 1st, Red, but I think you will rise to the occasion. Don't make me regret it, lol

I believe its based on your ranking from the first round owner standings (found in the 3rd post in this thread).

You are ranked #13, while jbohrman is #7 so you're up after odalisgagne who was #17.
