LOL... people RANDOMLY entered. How does that make it ANY different that pressing a stupid button? Stupid is delaying the season over this.

in an extreme case: one could enter their team - see their division opponents and then pull their teams when they see tough owners in their division - and then pull their team and enter again and hope for a 'safer' division draw. the random realignment allows everyone to enter when ready and not try to self manipulate themselves into a 'softer' division

yeah but since the assumption was the divisions would be realigned, nobody could have tried that

Also, teams had to be pulled for fixes and re-entered, so alignments changed anyway.

Agreed - And that’s the best reason to have random alignment for this tournament. That said, since everyone expected random alignment, I believe what we currently have for all six affected leagues is random and not manually manipulated. I don’t see a problem with starting as is but I’ll be fine with whatever Ozomatli decides.

Except maybe the league creator since they could theoretically decide they like the owners who entered their teams early and decide whether or not its in their own best interest to push the button (or not).

The WISC rules stated all leagues where going to be randomly aligned and while I do feel it was an honest mistake by contrarian why shouldn't the theme rules not be followed just for the convenience of expediency?

This. I know we are all excited to finally get it rolling but in a tournament like this we have to put "let's do things right" over "let's just get started already".

Mike is simply expected to run the Tourney according to the posted rules. Period. A one day delay is not a big deal, if that's what it takes. Put yourself in his shoes. What would you do?

I would also imagine that contrarian23 would want his leagues to follow the rules just as the others do. This was all about a box not getting a checkmark...an easy fix.
