Funny, I've known quite a few Native Americans over the years and a lot of them and family members always use to proudly wear Braves, Indians, Redskins gear. Far from being offended by these names, they seemed thrilled to have some sort of pro sport representation of their culture or popular image. I can't see why it's considered offensive, it's more a tribute to the Native American brave warrior image, just like names like Pirates, Bucanneers, Cowboys, Patriots is meant to inspire some kind of good spirited awe, respect, or a little intimidation.

That being said, if Native Americans really wanted this sort of representation, they would’ve spoken up about it. Woke Culture tried to cancel Speedy Gonzalez before Mexican Americans put a stop to it.

There is no such thing as wine culture. It is just the ranting of agreived people who don’t have change or fix in their vocabulary for anything involving the civil war and white nationalism and racism ( the next word DeSantis will erase with another don’t say law )

That being said since Indians are a race and you call the changepart “woke” how about The Cleveland Caucasians or The Cleveland African-Americans or the Cleveland Jews or the Cleveland Asians.

Also the Tribes have other things to worry about like standard of living and preserving their culture and keeping the federal government from encroaching and putting in pipe lines with disregard and without respect.

How would the Cleveland Caucasians would be depicted? Some caricatured blonde guy with a mohawk, sunglasses, and a goatee?

1. I agree with changing the name, but Guardians is not a good name and I prefer Blues.

2. But this is a really funny, inspired rant, I must admit.

3. Except, as an Italian American I have to tell you that " wop" really is an offensive word, the closest equivalent to the "n" word for Italians. It is short for "Without Official Papers" and suggests that our immigrant ancestors- my great-grandparents, whom I knew and loved, had no right to be in America.
