Sorry, going to have to veto Hornsby. Playing only 20 games in the outfield in his entire career (out of 2164) is not really within the spirit of the positional slotting.
After further review, I will allow this pick. I can slot Hornsby at 2B and shift Schoendienst to the OF. He played 123 games in the outfield and is rated at OF in four different seasons.

I will make my selection shortly.

If I'm doing the math correctly, Hornsby and Schoendienst have combined 8 seasons with any OF ratings. It's ... not ideal.

my first choice was hornsby but i didn't take him because they were both second baseman.

Schoendienst has 5 eligible 500+ PA seasons at OF. In my opinion, that is sufficient to qualify.

Regardless of my last selection, most of us will end up spending an average of approx. $85 million on the drafted players, which leaves $35 million for teammates. Fortunately, there are plenty of full-time players to fill out most people's rosters. My best guess is that for most people, one teammate slot will be used at catcher, one at outfielder, 4-5 at relief pitcher. If people have any salary left, then they can maybe upgrade at SP.

Thanks for taking a closer look schwarze.

since Hornsby is now a 2B, please swap me to the 1933 Hornsby. Thanks! :)

After seeing the nominated hitters, I think I need to switch my player.

Which 1933 version? Cardinals partial or combined, or Browns combined?

Since I have an outfielder now, I'll switch my player to Mickey Mantle.

If I understand all of the rules correctly, this should be interesting. The "Mick" has 16 seasons on the nose - I'm assuming that means that unless someone really wants to tie up a major portion of their CAP with the 1956 version (over $18M), someone is going to end up getting "stuck" with that version which will account for 15% of their payroll. Am I thinking correctly? If so, this should be exciting...lol.

Yup, even better someone could have a $65M outfield!

You'll need to pick your season, too.
