To keep the draft thread clean, I am posting draft commentary here.

Knowing who our first 2 picks from our franchise is ok, but trying to guess who might be available for when you pick 3rd, 4th, 5th etc is what makes this format so exciting. Picking 17th in rd 1, 18th in rd 2, 19th in rd 3 etc through 24th in rd 8 means I should be filling the back end of my roster in first if I want to reserve budget money for the theoretically higher caliber players when I have a higher pick from other franchises when the order turns over. It’s interesting to see who values position players vs SP vs RP. I think going after players with more financial options will allow for more flexibility later on. Drafting a pitcher who has a few different $/IP choices seems to be more valuable at least early on.

Love to hear thoughts from anyone who has played in leagues with injuries. This is my first one, but I've read several posts on the way they work in WIS generally. I assume my DH options will need to provide depth at every position.

It is clear to me (all other things being equal) that having early draft selections in the early rounds is a clear advantage due to the fact that it's easier to fill in the back end of the roster with lower salaried players in the later rounds than it is to pick the cheap players and RPs first , then try to squeeze in high priced starters and SPs later.

Of course, the franchises available combined with your roster needs when you do get to pick early also plays a factor.

I think it would have been better (and more fair) for each round to be based on the draft pick number, instead of franchise. Example: Round 1: Everybody gets to make take first two players from their franchise, Round 2: everybody makes their 2nd pick, etc. (In fact, that's how I assumed the draft worked when I signed up this).

Injuries aren't really anything to worry about unless you don't draft enough innings and try to play fatigued pitchers. Playing a mop-up guy at 0% in order to save your other pitchers doesn't work in leagues with injuries turned on. The mop-up guy will get injured and be removed fairly quickly, requiring your other pitchers to play. (Same thing with hitters, but most people draft enough PAs).

If you draft enough innings, then there's nothing to worry about. At 120M cap, I wouldn't draft fewer than 1400 (maybe more if you are playing in a hitters park).
