What if I told you that a player won the MVP with the following stats: .273 avg, .319 obp, 19 HRs, 77 RBIs. He's not even a great defensive player at his position (C-/B+). I will argue that this is the worst MVP ever despite his team making it to the World Series.
That being said, he's got a top 10 OPS# at his position in the history of the Twins franchise. There are better options, but I need a catcher and a shortstop.
