You just said I'd have 14 wins so your fans can yell "over-rated" at the end of our game.

I think my 1-3 start would be quite a rebuke to the predictions. I hope the formula and France hold true.

i was hoping for better than both France and the formula say to expect, but then I took another look at the conference and decided 10-6 would be lovely.

I stick to my original prediction that 10-6 wins the South. This may be an underestimate, but no one does better than 12-4 imo. Baptist Bible and SMM finally begin to make some noise taking on the "big boys." Both are still most likely a year away from competing for the title, but they are good enough to pull some upsets and go 8-8 +/- 2. Chestnut Hill can rebound and is senior laden. If they had some more ath/spd I'd say they are NT bound. As is, I think they have to go 10-6 to have a chance, and I'll put that probability at .40. I'm concerned with Kreller's abilitly to rebound in the zone- although I like the speed. If there was an 85+ guy I'd say they were just as good as anyone else. As is, I'll say 4-5 wins is more likely. Rogue and myself are still the favorites, but the gap between top and bottom is the closest since I've been around. This is the first year I don't look at a team (or 3) and go, "that's 2 wins right there." So iit's no reach to say that we could lose to anyone in our division. I'll say York goes 11-5 and I go 10-6. Ok, so maybe I'm not sticking to my 10-6 prediction.
The North winner will also struggle, as Goucher, Marymount, and Catholic all compete... they have a few more "easy" wins so the winner there is likely to be 12-4 or 13-3 at best (luckily they have only one game against each South opponent). Of the three, Goucher has the experience edge, so I'll go with Goucher to win there. Let's call it 12-4. I'll put Catholic a game behind at 11-5 and Marymount at 10-6. The Goucher-Catholic series should be interesting as you tend to see two different philosophies in action. France puts a big premium on stud rebounders, where Mike tends to sacrifice rebounding for "all-around" type players. None-the-less, they should provide good games, if not an answer to which philosophy is best. Mary Washington put itself in a position to do much better over the past two and three years of recruiting. However, they are still one year away from breaking the .500 barrier in the division. Let's make them 6-10 this year, with .15 probability of geting to the 500 mark this year. Gallaudett and Salisbury are still in the rebuilding process. With the CAC most likely sending between 3-6 teams to the NT, these teams will struggle to pick up wins. However, I think Lido is onto something over there and is likely to compete with Mamey to be the most improved club of the year next year. With last year's SIM recruits, Topdogg has a little ways to go yet.
In the next 2 or 3 years, I think the CAC certainly has the possibility of falling into the #1 Conference in DIII Naimsmith. With toppdogg now back in action, we have 12 active owners who all have the potential to build teams with RPI's in the top 150. Palmetto and Lucius have done a heck of job turning around their teams, and it appears Lido and Mamey are not far behind. Freedom Conference here we come.
