100% agree. I do like Luongo but he does need to play better and more consisteny than he has recently. IMO he needs to rest more games as I think a big part of his problems are mental and phyusical fatigue, but I doubt the team agrees.

I read today that 7 of the 8 times Luongo has been pulled this season were against non-playoff teams. So as long as the Canucks don't face a non-playoff team in the first round of the playoffs you'll be fine...

Its the Sedins that will be question mark in the playoffs, Luigi will be fine

what about that poll of NHL players about who is the most overated player in the NHL..guess who was 1st with 6% of the vote? 52 % percent didnt answer but out of the rest LUI was #1..im resigned to the fact that if Lui can give us just average goaltending Vancouver has a shot..he is not going to steal any games..just as long as he doesnt lose us any games like he did against Detroit and Edmonton, Vancouver should be ok..Im over the ripping Luongo thing..it is what it is..he's never going to win us any games..just as long as he is steady throughout the playoffs we have a punchers chance..as good as any team..

I was waiting for you to read that poll. 6 out of 100 players voted for Lu. Luongo should be on the bench until he earns the starters job back, Raycroft played well the last game he played and luongo keeps letting in at least ONE SOFT goal per game, if not one soft goal per period. Sit him down for a few games. He does not look hungry or ready, night after night.

This team misses Wille Mitchell more than you think, hopefully Wille is ready for the playoffs, but I am not optimistic about Wille's return.

We need Samuelsson back too.

Luongo played like he knew about that poll. He played great last night Vs the Yotes. When a player with the ego of a Luongo, hears that he is voted the most over rated player he is going to come out on fire. I think we see a differant Luongo from here on out.

yes, it was brutal,the sports talk lines were all over Lungo,some even suggesting C.Schneider should be the starting goalie in the playoffs..with Raycroft as back up.

Canucks have been the ***** on the road this year,Cup teams are good on the road..i cant see this team going far with Goaltending like that and a ****** road record,im always optimistic ,calling the Canucks a cup contender in previous posts but for that to happen Luongo has to NOT lose us any games like he has been doing lately.at worst he has to be average and if he can steal a game thats a bonus..Ive never seen a goalie give up so many breakaway goals,yet he's not bad in the shootout?

If Luongo is tired like some are suggesting?then let Raycroft and Schneider play the remainder of games..and let him rest for a couple weeks..I think Nashville and Detroit would kill Vancouver right now..L.A. was the team that a lot of people thought would be the cake walk..but we all saw how that turned out..
