This is just so many weak defenders. I’m not sure you can cover for it. I’ve had more success before with playing guys in the 50s-80s on defense than having some guys in the 90s and some guys in the 30s/40s. But certainly you’re gonna score plenty.

I thought really hard about Pressey but thought he was too much usage with Durant, Lillard, and Mullin already on board. I will have some dangerously low usage lineups with McMillan, though, so maybe should have gone with him instead. He's good value in this round

I have to say though, for you: not sure if the fit is perfect. I get the logic of getting more assists, but couldn't you have gotten something close to that level of assists with less usage and more efficiency? It would have come with less defense, but you already seem pretty covered on perimeter D.

Not to mention--the turnovers. Pressey adds a bunch more to a group that already included Harden, West, and Zo. I think that may drag you down more than you realize.

By the way, to be clear, my team has just as many problems as these others, lol. Rubber is starting to meet the road for a lot of us.

I mean I agree with all of that, but at the end of the day Pressey is just better over his best 5 years than the lower TO option I was looking at. I think the fit is good. Harden is surrounded by 4 good defenders, 4 good rebounders and a secondary passer/secondary 3pt shooter. About the best I could have hoped for since there’s always going to be some sacrifices made.

I do think I have enough defense, but as I've learned from many good teams, who cares as long as you can score 130 a night? I am planning on getting some more though.

It's not about having enough good defense, it's about having a lot of bad defense. I don't know if I've seen many teams succeed with that many minutes going to defenders in the 30s-40s. But you're gonna score a ton and these leagues are sort of breaking new ground.

While the Pressey pick didn't kill my team, I'd been planning on him since I picked Moncrief in the 3rd. Got too clever for my own good, "I can wait one more round, again, and grab another low-Usg 3pt shooter now." It might come back to haunt me, but at least I still have options... For now...

I had Conley typed out but convinced myself that I’d need Pressey’s boards...good chance I made the wrong call. Agreed that Conley shouldn’t be a mid-6th. I thought he’d go around the 4th round.

Conley's a harder sell for me other than 16-17 and 12-13. There's a 50.7 eFG%/27.3 Usg% season that would be rough. Four points is a tough sell at that eFG% for four out of five of his best seasons.
