Okay, since more than 12 hours have now elapsed since the last pick was made--and because Jfranco77 has not opened sitemail and did not provide me with an email address where I can reach him--I feel that we have no choice but to continue the draft in his absence. I have thought about this, and here is my ruling, which I believe is the most fair way to proceed:
- Until JFranco77 posts again in the draft thread or responds to sitemail, he will draft LAST in every round, regardless of which direction the draft is traveling. However, nobody will pick on Jfranco77's behalf.
- What this means is that the draft can continue for as long as need be while we wait for Jfranco77 to reappear. Since he will draft last in every round, his picks will have no influence on the rest of the draft sequence, since the final pick in each round is already a terminus.
- If Jfranco77 rejoins the draft, he can make up picks for all the rounds he missed by twisting off the last team drafted in each round. However, any teams and players that were taken in subsequent rounds will be off-limits to him. He can then retake his standard spot in the draft order for any rounds that remain.
- If Jfranco77 does not rejoin the draft, at its conclusion, I will make picks on his behalf for all remaining rounds adhering to standard chain-and-twist rules. However, I won't do this until every other team has made all of their draft picks, so this should not negatively impact any other owner's choices.
- I will ask my Dad, who plays SLB but is not in this league, to manage Jfranco77's team during the season. Jfranco77's team and my team will be placed in opposite leagues so as to avoid any conflict of interest.
This is my ruling and it is final.
With that, ronthegenius is up, twisting off of chewy3344's last pick:
