Bad_luck, 2008 wasn't close and 2012 electoral college wasn't close -somewhat because Romney lost some big states narrowly-. I think this election will be closer.
Really? I don't.

Polling in early September 2008 had McCain and Obama essentially tied, each showing as the leader in a handful of polls.

Trump hasn't lead any of the last 20 major national polls.

Unless you think people are going to start to like Trump more?
Admitting to voting for Trump these days is socially unacceptable. It's the equivalent of a white dude dropping the n word in Harlem ... You just don't do it.

Trump has way more support than the polls are showing. He's filling entire stadiums, still! Hillary can't do that and she's leading in the last 20 polls!!

I don't think you believe that. Admitting that you think Hillary will be a good President is the same as admitting to voting for Trump. Usually it's picking the lesser of two evils. It's way worse this time around.

I can't find anyone EXCITED about Hillary and I'm in a liberal town and work with liberal politicians. Interestingly when the inevitable question comes up at different functions usually involving alcohol, "what do you think about this election?", everyone is quiet for a moment until someone humbly and very hesitantly says "I don't like either of the candidates, but Trump brings up some good points" and then 2-3 more people start jumping in with more energy regarding Trump now that they've discovered it's OK to talk about Trump with this group of people. It's like clockwork, Everytime. Same thing is happening with Donald's polls.

I can't find anyone who wants to talk about the candidate they support. It's far more "Jesus, Trump is terrible" and "Damn, Hillary? Really?"

Our system has failed us big time.

So why vote for the person more likely to change nothing? Because you THINK the other's changes would be bad? Settling for sh!t instead of taking a shot on the unknown doesn't sound very American to me.

When offered a **** sandwich or diarrhea soup, I decline and go hungry. That's this election.

If I were going to vote for one, I'd attempt to figure out which one was least healthy and more likely to die before their term was up.

Hillary is basically a walking tombstone. Hopefully she doesn't fall over again and get another major concussion or a stroke or the heart attack.

She's already mentally unstable.

That's exactly it... We KNOW what Hillary will do in office. Anyone that tells you they KNOW what Trump will do is full of ****.

I don't KNOW what a rabid fox will do but I'm sure I don't want it as a pet.

...but you'll take a python that you know swallows people whole as your pet. fantastic.

Its funny Trump gets compared to Hitler from the left. Hitler killed 11 million people by age 56. Trump is 70 - who's he killed? Hillary on the other hand... There are plenty of dead skeletons in her closet and I'm not just talking about Benghazi. Seth Rich is the most recent but the list goes back 40 years.

To put it another way, I see all kinds of wild animals daily during the warm periods. I have a pretty good idea how they will react to my presence.

I have never encountered an elephant.

An elephant would make me very uncomfortable. An alligator or bear does not. Yet, if they chose to, all three could kill me. I'd still rather run across an alligator or bear.

Choice A) this animal will kill you.

Choice B) this animal may or may not kill you.

You KNOW what choice A will do. You don't KNOW what choice B will do.

It's that simple.

Bernie Sanders just purchased his 3rd home. It cost $600,000 dollars.

He got his first job when he turned 40. It was government taxpayer and he hasn't had a job since.

Sanders got his payoff from the CLINTON machine.

Bear Hillary will NOT kill me. She'll huff and huff but, eventually, she'll turn and go away. I won't like it but there's very little chance she'll actually charge. She'll do what she's always done.

Elephant Trump is unknown. He might just make a lot of noise and do nothing. Or he might charge and stomp all over me. I just don't know because I've never had to deal with a Elephant Trump.

Bear has never killed me. Elephant might do so the very first time I come across him.
